I want someone with nothing left to lose to find Kirk Herbstreit and chop his head in half on the sidewalk with a walmart machete.

Nothing wrong with him expressing that opinion to them, even though it might piss off Georgia fans.

It absolutely is wrong for someone whose job is to be an impartial voice on college football to express that opinion to them.

There was always a chance, just said it wasn't surprising. The dude lived in 3 different states during high school. Went to like 4 different high schools. Was going to be suspended in Arizona. So they moved. If you want to ignore the ties to Nebraska then go ahead. Reading the Nebraska forums throughout the recruitment, its not surprising that he went there.

Reasons for that:
AZ suspended all HS play during covid so he went to TX. Then he transferred back to AZ to a HS that had athletic department wide problems where players from most all sports were transferring. AZ HS admin said he had to sit out 5 games at the new HS because of transferring. Transfers to Buford HS in GA.

Wouldn't move the needle with Georgia's talent and depth. They are playing a different game than Nebraska.

Stupid...because he directed him to Marcus Satterfield. The only dude who found a way to nerf Spencer Rattler.

which makes me realize in 5 years some fanbase is going to be happy to get him because he coached Rattler...when in reality...he was pushed to take another job.

Agreed and even if it wasn't "wrong" legally, when it comes to this level of money and prestige, these kinds of moves are guaranteed to make enemies and piss people off.

With all the existing connections to Nebraska it makes a lot of sense why Raiola went there...seems weird that Herbstreit would be involved at all.

If ESPN thinks this kind of thing is ok then Lee Corso should've been calling up every recruit that didn't commit to FSU pre-stroke and saying "not so fast my friend". Imagine all the GameDay guys sitting around working the phones trying to steer recruits to the schools they want so they can shape the narrative for College Football. Kinda like they did for the playoffs I guess

Herbstreit went on the Finebaum Show today and started to stumble around by saying that the father only told one side of the story. He also said that he finds it hard to believe that someone would think that he would intentionally steer someone away from Georgia.

He did sound nervous and very defensive so just maybe he thinks that he won't get invited back to Kirby's restaurant:

ESPN constantly chooses favorites. Look what they did to Peyton Manning's Heistman. Totally objective announcer Chris Fowler called Tennessee fans Trailer Trash. You'd be hard pressed to determine who they're favoring in an Alabama-Tennessee football game, right? Wrong! Herbstreit should be fired.

Non denial denial.

Talks about Rhule when no one was really focusing on that at all.

Never says he didn't say what Dom said he said.

Blames people for thinking he would ever push Nebraska or any school over another school when that's exactly what Dom said.

But never blames Dom.

I don't hate the guy. I do think on air he tries to be objective. But he loves the bluebloods and he doesn't consider us one of them.

Because he is. He put away any credibility when he was crying for a UM/Tosu rematch in 2006 then Florida beat the shite out of his Buckeyes.

Herbstreit said that the father called him.

The father said that Herbstreit called him.

One of these two is not being candid.

If Herbstreit did in fact call the father it does amount to a blatant interference issue. And if Herbstreight lied while he was on the SEC netork,

The call is somewhat key, but the worst part is that Herbstreit can't seem to understand why anyone would be upset with Dominic's words and why they would think he was trying to influence Dylan to go to Nebraska.

Dominic's exact words: “When this was happening, I will bring up one guy’s name: Kirk Herbstreit. He saw the smoke about Dylan entertaining Nebraska, he was like … ‘Is this true? He gotta do it,’”

Somehow college football fans are the bad guys for misconstruing his words as it's plainly obvious he wasn't saying Dylan should go to Nebraska.
