Water is wet.

The backup qb will continue to start until the starter is healthy.

ESPN Insider Chris Lowe said this morning that Bennett might be the QB going forward. How bad can a pulled Lat be ?

I think it has more to do with how well Stet has played as QB2, and with as much time as JT has missed now, JT is basically QB2 waiting for Stet to either get hurt or play like shite. Similar to Eason/Fromm situation in 2017. Not the same, but similar. My fellow dawg fans downvote me for this opinion, but cest la vie and whatnot.

Unless JT is hurt way worse than anybody knows, this seems like bad info. Kirby has chosen a healthy JT over stetson multiple times already.

JT threw for 300 yards in his first game back from his ACL tear (early 2019).

When healthy, he will play. Similar to 2020, he wont play before hand (i.e. not starting against florida 2020).

If there is any "news", it is that carson beck doesnt jump ahead of stetson the rest of the season (as opposed to Broderick Jones earning the start at left tackle as he continues to develop later in the year).

Ah thanks.

So they are related due to maybe overcompensating or overcorrection.

Wasn’t he held out a couple games in 2020 for a coaching decision? Kirby don’t like them fancy Cali QBs

Real talk, he had an oblique strain before the Clemson game and played through it. You can tell they game planned around the injury because the majority of his passes were short.

He ended up pulling a lat muscle trying to compensate for the oblique. Unfortunately, the only way to recover is rest.

Also rumblings he has a low pain threshold. But you'd be hard pressed to get any Georgia writers to mention it.

Clemson was playing deep coverage too (cover 3 and quarters). But we werent trying to fit anything into those tight windows because of the velocity/injury.

Was thinking about this… How have the other qbs looked compared to SB in practice? Obviously not as good since Bennett is starting but I wonder how wide the gap is between qb2 and qb3.

Let him sit for 4 weeks then because you won’t need him for Florida.

Need to purge the California softness out of him.

We gave Beck every chance in fall camp and the first 2 weeks to the season to grab the #2 spot.

He didnt grab it.

Our true freshman is redshirting. He wont play until the last 3 games of the season to keep the redshirt.

Kirby is shite with QBs and just wanted the lower risk, lower reward walk-on running his O.
I refuse to believe even you’re dumb enough to believe this.

JT was the starter throughout spring, fall, and the first game.

Quite frankly with the supporting cast and defense we can put in Bo Nix and pull out a win, but luckily we have Stetson and not desperate.
