What’s the max amount of time that has to pass since your last national championship before you go to natty smack against another team? I think 5 years tops.

National titles are hard to come by. I would think 10. For example, it'd be hard for Aubs to talk Natty smack at this point, but LSU would still be pretty reasonable so long as the team they're smacking against hasn't won a title after.

UGA is 5-1 in playoff games, with 3 trips to the playoffs since Kirby Smart came to UGA.
In the 4-team playoff era they are 3rd in playoff wins (behind Alabama with 9 and Clemson with 6). They are 2nd in national championships (behind Bama who has 3).
After his first year, Kirby Smart has either been in a NY6 or the playoffs for the post season ever year at UGA. He's 8-2 in those games.
So yeah, UGA has been pretty elite.

Its been 16 years since Tennessee managed to be SEC Eastern Division Champs. Missouri and South Carolina have won the east 2x and exactly the same number of times since 2007.
Its been 25 years since Tennessee has won a SEC title. Since it started playing football Tennesse averages 65 years between national titles. By comparison UGA averages 32.75, almost half. If anyone can spot a lack of elite characteristics it is a Tennessee fan....
