But to claim that it's UNFAIR to travel more than an hr. away for a game yet expect the other team to do it.....*SMH*.
You’re talking about Disney Gators, not the caw
I was pointing out that the argument about campus to city distance isn’t the most accurate since there are fans of these teams in different parts of the state that have access to it
I would be cool with the game being in Atlanta some years if need be
Only loser Disney gators like ForeverGroomer are crying about it but he cries about things all the time because he’s a pussy

I hope they keep it in Jax solely for the economic boon to that city, but I don't think it would be unfair to rotate Jax and Atlanta.

I wasn't calling you out (sorry if it came out that way)...
But WHAT is wrong with a H/H OR Atl./Jax. rotation?

But I’d be all for a ATL/Jax rotation to function as the home/home !
Hell hold it in Atlanta for 2-3 years so Jax can get the new stadium then rotate. That would be awesome.

I have to agree with TheDumbassCAW on this one. He must have sobered up enough to make a coherent statement for once.
Having the game in Atlanta is not the same as having the game in Jax for the fans. For the teams, yes. But you’re foolish if you think this affects the teams much with air travel and such.
Having the game in Atlanta is the equivalent of us having the game played in south Florida.
Don’t be stupid, Georgia fans. I know you have more brains than that. But, maybe I’m wrong and you guys are just straight up fricking stupid.

I don't have an animal in this fight and I understand the tradition, but you have a stadium in Jacksonville that will seat 71,000 max, Florida's stadium that seats 88,548+, and Georgia's stadium seating 92,746+.
Given the current issues with paying players, I would think moving the game to on-campus would generate more revenue for both schools without impacting the rivalry.
It worked out very well when we moved the uat game to Auburn in '89. Of course, it was played in the eyesore known as Lesion Field before that.

People always compare North GA to North FL, what about all the South Florida fans who drive to the game in Jax? It is about the same as the drive from Atlanta to Jax (actually longer). It's a 10 hour drive from Miami to ATL. There are plenty of people in Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Ft Myers, Naples, who go to this game and moving it to ATL is in no way keeping it neutral.
It has nothing to do with team travel, it is all about the fans imo.

I’m for making the game home and home.
Move it. And I expect it will be moved. Kirby wants another SEC home game every other year. It will be another opportunity to bring in top recruits as well as bring additional revenue to the Athens merchants.
If Kirby wants it moved bad enough, it will be moved. He calls the shots when it comes to what’s best for UGA football.

The annual neutral site game doesn’t make sense to me. It has to be about nothing but $$$.

Bottom line.. moving the game for even 2 years is playing with fire..
Nothing burned the last time the series went home and home for two years during a stadium renovation.

I know UGA makes more from the city of Jacksonville the years we are the host school than we do for a typical home game in Athens.

could you possibly make it a split 50/50 type game in Athens & Gainsville? I actually like the idea of this.

They should just pay it in Atlanta since we've been paying in UF back yard for almost the entire series.

"Don't be stupid, Ga. fans.".
Coming from a Gator fan WHO SEES NO WRONG with a game being played in one of 2 places ~70 miles apart, but IS FINE having the other team travel ~340 miles to play.
FYI, if S. Fl. is Miami:
Gainesville ---> Miami = 340 miles
Athens ---> Miami = 680 miles
So, you're complaining Miami is wrong for y'all...but THE SAME DISTANCE for UGA to Jacksonville is acceptable.

UGA people that don’t go don’t understand.
It is a mini fall vacation for a lot of folks. Has been for a long damn time. Happens to have a fun game that has great tailgating and typically good weather.
The distance from Athens or Atl is irrelevant.
As for the money, remember the teams get those $$ even when it would have been an away game for them. Plus, money from the city. Also, they don’t have police and venue expenses.
A new, smaller stadium doesn’t move the needle much. In fact, any changes to the stadium don’t move the needle. Isn’t the reason people go.
For the love of GOD don’t put it in ATL and/or Orlando. frick that. I’ll save those dollars.

We have to drive over 6 hours every year and you crying having to do the same for 2 years. Never change pussies. Doesn't matter, where ever the games are played We will win.
Gainesville to Jacksonville is essentially the same as Athens to Atlanta but somehow would be unfair.
I don't give a frick where the fans live. Fans live all over the country. What matters is the distance from the respective universities

Mercedes Georgia Dome has the ambience of a strip club bathroom with no paper towels.
Shitty acoustics, shitty tailgating in a piss smelling ghetto.
Beginning to think Blank has no idea about business and got lucky with HD.
