This is horrible for the city of Tuscaloosa

Small businesses in college towns rely on home games for a significant amount of their income, and this is one of the biggest games for the Tide this year

Cullman is an hour and a half to 2 hours away from T-town (more like 3 hours on a game day, and longer still with the expected weather)

I’m looking forward to this game, but wow…

ESPN should move gameday at a minimum- what’s the point of doing it so far away???

Dude...

1. Coleman Coliseum is where GameDay is - not Cullman, AL

2. The storm is going to be going through Tuscaloosa in the morning with tropical storm force winds. Tailgating will be difficult to impossible

Tuscaloosa squeezed the last bit of life out of the Saban era last night to offset the losses this weekend.

Gameday in Cullman will be memorable.

Alright - I’m an idiot - I heard it on the radio just now and this makes a lot of sense

I know - it’s m not going to edit it, I deserve all the ridicule I get for this dumbassery - I should have checked before I posted, heard it on the radio and was dumbfounded

I’m glad I’m wrong…

I don’t know if you’ve experienced tropical storm force winds before, but having a bunch of people setting up pop up tents and projectiles during those winds typically isn’t the best idea.

It's fast moving and ticked more east. Georgia is likely getting the worst of it now.

It'll be out of Tuscaloosa by Noon.

It’s going to be a tropical storm, not depression, still at 1pm in Tuscaloosa

Tons of the area won’t have power and there will be multiple trees down. I understand not wanting to move the game, but this is one of the more perplexing decisions to me to roll with this

So they move east where the tornadoes and lightning occur from the center. ESPN doesn't do weather, I see.

I mean this really is almost wild to me in the liability and risk adverse world we live in

A damn tropical storm will be right over Tuscaloosa only 6 damn hours before kickoff

It’s going to be an absolute fricking mess there

Georgia getting the worst of it now. The eastern side of the storm is the worst of it. It's been moving more and more east since Thursday.

Brother I know all about hurricanes and storms…

Show me on the map where Tuscaloosa is….

This is the 7am update that just came out for the storms track

Tuscaloosa is just a frog hair to the west of the dead center of the projected cone , the giant S tropical storm center point dot at 1pm is damn near on top of Tuscaloosa

Won't be nearly at the strength that far inland. Tuscaloosa residents may lose a few tree branches and trash cans

Models continue to trend faster, much of the rain will be out of Alabama by 12 noon tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be dry for the major outdoor events with diminishing wind.

Look at the map I posted. It’s quite literally projected as a tropical storm over Tuscaloosa, which is sustained winds of 40-70 mph
