The storm is going to be going through Tuscaloosa in the morning with tropical storm force winds. Tailgating will be difficult to impossible

I'm an old frick now, so I don't do this shite anymore. But, back in the day, we would have wanted to go out there to tailgate in this...

Cullman is an hour and a half to 2 hours away from T-town (more like 3 hours on a game day, and longer still with the expected weather)

To be fair, there are probably more Alabama fans in Cullman than in Tuscaloosa.

But it’s at Coleman Coliseum anyway.

I don’t know if you’ve experienced tropical storm force winds before, but having a bunch of people setting up pop up tents and projectiles during those winds typically isn’t the best idea.

many years ago I made side money being a small antique/trade shoiw dealer

I actually had a tent taken and magled at a show in montgomery (less severe weather that what is projected) - my mangled tent actually made the front page of the Montgomery Advertiser in a photo

it's smart to restrict the tailgates; just sucks for everyone (especially small businesses in Tuscaloosa)

I think this game should be postponed or moved - either to an earlier Saturday spot, play it on Sunday or reschedule...

Gameday in Cullman

Oktoboberfest with that Freddy the German guy in town last weekend.

Gameday this weekend.

Biggest thing in Cullman since they took down the last racist Sundown Town sign in the 1970s.

It’s because it’s not as bad as the media is making it. Fear mongering is a scary thing. After 11 am on Saturday, there is no rain in Tuscaloosa and wind max is 7 mph.

Gust in some areas within the storm itself can get up to 50mph.. but it won’t be that bad.

It'll be interesting to see how many people show up.

I reckon ya'll got some big arse generators for all that right?

Does ligthtning generally adjoin weather such as this?

It’s not fear mongering to factually say it’s currently projected as a tropical storm directly over Tuscaloosa at 1pm

And it’s always beautiful weather after a storm passes

No dude. Wake the frick up. They put the fear of God in people to get people to wake up.l because it’s better to be safe than sorry. The media portrays the worst case possible.

People are doing the opposite such as yourself by downplaying tropical storm to something you shouldn’t worry about…

My property is 300 miles inland. During Laura we got 55mph winds, which is the middle range of a tropical storm. There were 1000s of trees down and no power in the area for a week

I could not imagine having 50k plus people outside and about DURING that storm. It would have been chaos

Speed is the difference. Most Hurricanes can linger, even on land. This one will be moving much like our wide receivers.

Weather will be worse in Lexington than Tuscaloosa by the time the games start.

Do you have 4 or 5 home games this year. If 5 its not as bad as schools with only 4
