The last TD they scored was with 0:00 left on the clock on a fumble return otherwise we lost by 21-16

So losing 21-16 would have been a moral victory?

Na, not near as bad as Tennessee, they've been irrelevant for almost 20 years.

Anyone who’s been a UF fan before we were good (I was) knows how to take a loss without chicken littleing 1 game.

Tenner is finished, it’s over for them. UF can recover, and recover quickly with the right HC.

Dear Gator fans, There were plenty of State fans on here warning you not to get your hopes up over Muffin. His record against tops teams speaks for itself and do you really think he going to pull studs away from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn ? We told you he was lazy at recruiting and that's what you need. Last night you looked liked a mid major school. Look on the bright side, the gators look better than the Noles so at least you have that going for you. Muffin has to land a QB and right now I don't see your fan base showing the patience for that. Merlins took Chris Relf and developed him to a respectable QB and if Guadalupe Franks is the best you have then it's going to be a long year !

I was mocking the melting OP. Mullen is a good coach and Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe in his first year at Bama. UK was just due for a win over UF. They probably should have beat them two other times recently.

And that was fixed by great recruiting

Or, it might take longer than 1 game for Mullen to get his players pulling in the same direction. I realize you guys lost a streak, but Kentucky seems to have a pretty decent team. Give it time.

It was fortunate for UK to get Florida early in the season.

No doubt Florida will/should get better as the year goes on, but you guys have a lot fo nice pieces. You got to get that QB to quit giving the ball away, and be more consistent, but he has a lot of really good talent.

Mullen has his work cut out for him, obviously. if the team was in great shape, why would have fired last coach? Just glad State gets Flarda now & next yr rather than after he gets things back on all cylinders.

His post game comment put a good perspective on things: "if we nailed a hail Mary at the clock and won...we would still have the same problems to clean up."

Or he's just blaming the last guy, that only works till November Dan.

Give it a few years! As much as I enjoy UF losing, it won’t happen for long. Kirby’s first year, UGA lost some dumb games that left me questioning if this is the correct hire? The one thing I would be worried about if I was a UF fan is your D coordinator, Grantham is not your answer.

Really, we're in the same spot Tennessee is IMO.
It's more like Texas. Yes things are bad right now, and it's ingrained in the culture. But one day with the right leadership it could get better and your program could be great again. That's how you're different from Tennessee

Goal one: end three decade long streak.
Check

Goal two: reach the status of program that winning a game doesn’t result in a coach resigning, being fired, or fans completely abandoning all hope.

Work in progress.

Moms don't want their kids in Gainsville. There's been way too much trouble was John law. Urban Meyer was a curse in disguise and the dirt lingered. Give Mullen time. Please, give Mullen time.

maybe, maybe not. They haven't been UT-level bad but they haven't exactly been all that good lately either. Since Muschamp had them ranked in the top 5 in 2012, they've done:

13: went 4-8 wiht some atrocious losses
14: went 7-5 and 4-4 in the SEC
15: went 10-4 which seems pretty good. They only had 1 win of any substance during the regular season, and lost to the other 4 legit teams on their schedule. Lost the bowl by 30+
16: 9-4 and once again wins the east but with only 1 noteworthy win with some questionable losses. Lost to FSU adn SECCG by a combined 56 points
17: 4-7 with zero good wins. Completely run off the field against uga and missouri.

They are a lesser version of the late richt era which saw us win 9-10 games but against bad competition and no really solid wins. Difference is we weren't totally devoid of talent, and from the moment kirby got here recruited like a banshee.

UF at the moment DOES have deficiences in major areas, is recruiting very poorly, and has todd grantham as their DC. There aren't any similarities between them now and uga in 2016.

Y’all fricking won the East twice not that long ago.

Tennessee hasn’t won anything worth a damn since fricking Twitter was invented.

It’s a completely different thing, but I don’t expect entitled Florida fans to get it. It’s called Nick Saban is running this shite for the time being.

I think yall have a good HC. But if Florida is to compete in football again, I believe the athletic department needs to be cleaned out.
