Yea, and most of the national CFB media who generally sided with them the last few years has come out the same way.

Florida called their bluff and they pissed themselves.

it's crazy we even offered to lose money just to give them a home game and they still turned it down.

ucf is definitely just trying to mow over scrub teams and rest their whole season on playing one real game.

these g5 schools could go indy in football and play a tough schedule, but they just like to posture.

Scheduling UF is a big risk to them. Its likely theyd lose all 3 games which basically shoots down all the hype behind their program

Still have seen no legit reason as to why Florida should get a 2-1 when UCF is getting 1-1 with plenty of other P5 schools.

It sounds like he wrote that knowing someone would publish it later.

Well, for one, Florida doesn't need UCF. So, Florida doesn't have to do anything. UCF needs Florida and schools like it. So, since UCF needs Florida more than Florida needs UCF...........Florida gets more than UCF. That is the way it works.

Secondly, the other P5 schools UCF has gotten 1 for 1 games with are
- Pitt
- UNC
- Georgia Tech
- Louisville
- Stanford

Those programs ain't Florida and the only one that is close is Stanford.

uf already has one less home game per year because WLOCP. schools like uf, uga, a&M, etc. make a lot of money on home games. would lose a few million dollars by playing at ucf. ucf has to give some type of compensation. they aren't losing anything. you guys keep talking about all this on the field stuff when it doesn't have a lot to do with it.

only about 25-30 college teams operate in the black. ucf is not one of them.

I can’t wait for the release of more emails Danny White wrote offering series w all the P5 cowards who were too cowardly to say yes and hid. It’s gonna be great.

I'm gonna side with UCF. They are shooting for the sky and I admire their aspirations. I say we boot OM from the SEC move Missouri to the west and add UCF. They have a big fanbase but they just aren't that involved. a large influx of SEC dollars would change that and I think they could bring some long term value to the table. We could be their cross divisional rivals and play them instead of kentucky every year and do it on thanksgiving. Give the eggbowl trophy to OM so they will have something to reminisce the good ole days on. Florida in November is probably pretty nice.

Missouri has just as many SEC East titles as Florida since joining the conference. Why are you pretending they didn’t have 1-1 deals with Miami and Texas? They had one with Penn State but moved their home game to Ireland which is still a better deal than what Florida offered in bad faith knowing it would be rejected. Also, why does UCF need Florida? What have they done since Urban left that makes them so special? Just keep moving the goalposts on them. “Pawl they need to play P5 teams... oh they do? Ok well nobody cares about the ACC it needs to be SEC! Yeah that’s it!”

I mean, State played 2 for 1 series with all sorts of people when Mullen was there.

South Alabama, Troy, Southern Miss, UAB, MTSU, Tulane, etc etc

I mean they don't, but in this negotiation Florida doesn't need UCF at all. Florida is set - they play in the SEC and play FSU every season. If they go 12-1 they go to the Playoff.

UCF needs more big P5 games. They need 4 of them a year to go along with their AAC slate to try and make a playoff. Therefore, they NEED Florida/FSU/Oklahoma/Alabama/whoever.

It's pretty simple.

No, it doesn't have to be SEC. But they need to play 4 P5 teams in their OOC or at least 2 really good, Top 25 caliber P5 teams in their OOC.

It's not acceptable to play in the AAC, play a 1AA, Akron and some 7-6 P5 team and then get into the playoff. That's not gonna work. If they can get a bunch of 1 for 1 deals from Penn State/Texas/USC/Miami/Iowa/Virginia Tech go for it. More power to them.

You are also ignoring some context here. The Texas/UCF was suppose to be a 2&1 but was canceled after 1&1.

I would imagine they have asked plenty of schools. Going after UF is likely top of the list because of interstate appeal

It’s not broken. A UCF team with a schedule where roughly half of the teams didn’t even make .500 shouldn’t sniff a playoff.

yep, he a Stricklin called Southern Miss's bluff in exactly the same way. After Mullen beat them a couple of times USM went back to getting a big check and being cannon fodder for Bama and Auburn.

UCF will fall down the same path
