Ty wasn't the problem but if the defense can't stop anyone we have to outscore them. Ty isn't a slinger

Told a bama buddy week before last that he would be missing Jalen Milroe before the halfway point of the season. He said he would bet me $100 he wouldn't. I like the guy so I declined.
So soon, who knew?

The defense and the offensive line were the two culprits in the loss. The offensive line graded out horrible and if it wasn't for Simpson being able to escape the pocket and extend plays it would have been a lot worse. The offensive line, once again, is a major disappointment so far this season.

I feel like throwing a true freshman out there would only exacerbate the problem.

How many TD’s was Milroe responsible for when Bama played Oklahoma?

I never really saw why Bama fans had a ton of hope for Simpson. He came in a couple years back when Milroe struggled and he struggled more. He hasn't done much in his mop up duty time either. He's a 55% completion percentage, 6.8 yards per pass QB and most of that time was against cupcakes when he got in. 120 career passer rating.
Dude just isn't very good. There's a reason Milroe didn't get benched.

Not sure that QB was the main problem, but...OK.
You got a WR that paints his nails, so there's that.

It wasn't even just hope, they were outright saying he was an upgrade and that Milroe held them back but Simpson was better.
A better fit for the system and could actually read defenses.

Which team you talking about?

It's hard to sling anything if you're running for your life the whole game. He was named the starter for a reason. He is their best option.

And to add to the fact he's no where close to ready for live action. AJ McCarron said he spoke to several inside the program and the freshman is "nowhere near ready to play". So yes, it would be a disaster.

I don't even think Ty was the problem. He is obviously more limited athletically than Milroe but he needs an offense structured around his strengths.
I thought he, Bernard, and the center were the only offensive players who seemed to be interested in winning.

This is what's gotten the Bama fanbase going scorched earth this week. If we had played hard and still lost it would be one thing. Yeah, we would have been pissed, but ultimately would have accepted it as Fla St was just the better team. But when you've got players literally jogging during plays, some not even pursuing the play and ESPN analyst saying he watched film and counting 21 different plays where multiple players in the play were "loafing" or making no effort at all? Naw, that chit ain't going to fly in Tuscaloosa. Somebody's going to start answering some hard questions.
I'm certain DeBoer and his wife are praying they'll go ahead and fire him so they can get the hell out of Alabama.
