This happened for two reasons.
Weak QB draft and he’ll go first round.
He unselfishly left to keep Mack and Russell from leaving. His decision to leave would’ve put Russell in the portal. Ty is a good guy.

He’s an early 2nd rounder at worst…
You’re right. It’s still probably going to be less money.

Should be high 1st round. Not a strong qb draft.
That's not how evaluation works.

He or Mack probably would've been if Ty was coming back, but he sure as hell isn't going in the portal now.
Why would he leave with a shot to start and Bama sitting here with Ty's NIL money to allocate?
Itll be Mack vs KR to start and there is only one portal window now so they'll be on campus until next bowl season.
It would be funny if Mack portals to Washington now that Desmond Williams is leaving.

HIs main problem was he played in an offense that was completely dysfunctional.
Thank goodness he didn't go to Tennessee.

Should take Bama out of the Cam Coleman sweepstakes

The offense was FEI top 7 before he got hurt.
Alabama always uses the hurt excuse when they lose.

Hopefully he works out.

I was defending Simpson as a QB.
He was plenty damn good early to beat UGA at Sanford.
