1. No freakin' way it's reasonable for a 1-loss SEC Champion to jump an undefeated team if those teams are Oregon, K-State, or ND. Maybe if Louisville had run the tables, but not those three.

and

2. Honestly, I think Georgia's defense is better than Texas A&M's. That scares me, given that Bama's run of luck lately probably means Murray suddenly starts playing like Dan Marino. Two weeks in a row Bama just played against QB's who hit small targets and made no mistakes.

Here's the thing. Our D scheme is extremely vulnerable to the slants and style of offense A&M runs. We've seen it many times. Look at every team they were putting up last night and saying "Bama hasn't trailed by this much since they played team X"...they were all quick hitting, slant and run type offenses. LSU's biggest success was on the same thing. That is the way to beat Bama.

EDIT: In my opinion, we're not gonna jump anybody. Two of those undefeated teams are gonna have to lose...which aint gonna happen. We're gonna get Notre Dame in the damn BCS game this year, and all the cock slobbering that entails.

Georgia's no joke. There, I said it.

And this Bama team is a long way from the 2008-2011 Bama teams.

The stats may be there (I doubt it) but we don't run the ball like we used to. This could be the opposition making adjustments and loading the box more, but we just don't have the punishing "make his arse quit" running game we've enjoyed the past four years.

Period.

3rd downs are killing us, on both sides. Have had trouble converting, and stopping. Hoping that the coaches will start using the run game again and stop with the passing on first down so much. It's getting Bama behind on 2nd and long and 3rd and long way too much the last couple of weeks.

Good post. If most bama posters were like you, I would probably be more supportive of bama. But sadly you are in the minority, so go dawgs.

I would add that LSU's defensive scheme and personnel are better built to stop A&M's offense. I knew A&M would give you fits tonight but never thought they would win. I believe going forward Alabama will continuously have trouble with A&M's offense no matter what personnel are in there.

I expected to have better containment and pressure on Manziel. Their Oline did a terrific job. I underestimated how good they were.

Like it was said before I respect your humility. All along I've thought Bama's D was overrated, and after last week vs LSU I knew they were. However I didn't think aTm would be the team to beat them. UGA has all the tools LSU does and considering how close that game was thought UGA would be the team to beat Bama. the Dawgs D has been playing great lately.

I definitely don't see a 1 loss SEC team jumping and undefeated, sadly the SEC streak ends this year.

You lost one game to a good team. Get over it. I'll trade seasons and coaches if you're that concerned.

You are right and it shouldn't happen. Those 3 have done what they've needed to do and the SEC teams haven't. Georgia gettin crushed by USCe; Bama losing at home and UF looks like crap.

In other words, the threads with Alabama fans giving credit to A&M weren't enough. You needed to see an Alabama fan admitting his team's faults to conclude we aren't classless. Gotcha.

Why is everyone hard on Bama? Geez, we played two of the best teams in the country the last two weeks - beat one and barely lost to the other.

Georgia lost by 30!!!! We lost by 5 with 3 turnovers and more yards gained.

Makes no sense, which is normal for this board. But it's

I underestimated how good their defense was. I felt we needed to score points (35-42), we just couldn't do it.

We tried to tell everyone... Luke and Jake are 1st round tackles. Sherman and Co. were NFL. They said it back in the day that those two were special as freshman.

Pat (our C) is also damn good.

In bama's defense, their OL is easily the best we've faced.
