re: Truth is LSU and Bama are on the same level now. Both aren’t tier 1 SEC programs.

Until Texas showed up - now you’re 2nd fiddle. Deal with it.

Say what you will BUT the reality is you are on this site today talking about a program that you think is inferior to yours. You can spew stats, records, and anything else that makes you feel better about the state of your program. It will not help the situation you’re in now. If you think otherwise your a fool

How did Nick Saban do in his first year at Alabama?

bama lost to Vandy so that puts them below LSU.
Go argue with your momma about head to head.

I remember feeling falsely hopeful like this when Butch was here with Dobbs making him look somewhat decent.

This is not our season, but we are the defending SEC champs, controlled our own destiny until last night, and have an incoming top 5 class. Unless "Tier 1" is judged by a single season, we are clearly in the top tier of the conference.
AKA “we’re Bama, right guys? Of course we’re always going to be good forever!!!”
No. Your dynasty was already dying after 2017, when Bama won their last championship, Saban’s departure expedited the decline, and DeBoer stuck a fork in the program.
Bama is done. Sorry. Tell your inbred kids about the glory days.

Yeah, it sucks being the second worst team in the conference.
Thank God for Louisiana!

The staff certainly needs upgrading with SEC experience. We lost his best assistant to the NFL (Grubb) and way too many buddies got hired putting together this staff in January after the better ones were taken.
He inherited a lot of talent on paper, but the development has not been the same the last couple years and I get the sense that a lot of arse kissing happened to keep this roster together. Milroe doesn't fit his scheme at all but he had to back Milroe with Milroe being the team leader who convinced the rest of them not to bolt.
I'm not saying "he needs his own players" but he does need more than one off-season to establish this new identity that is clearly different than Saban's. Right now the classroom still has the feeling of a substitute teacher after the strictest teacher in the school left. He's a big believer in player led leadership, but I don't think this group knows how to lead.

Not Tenner and no one merits tier 1 until they win a title and do so with decent consistency. Drop UTexas, for now

Lsu is still a tier 1 team. We produced a Heiseman Qb last season and won the sec west and appeared in the sec championship game the previous year. This year is just a nad year all around. The dynamics around college ball has changed. Every sec team has 2 loses minimum with a 3 loss average. Give it another year we will win the cfp or at least be in atlanta next year.
