The SCOTUS has ruled that athletes can be compensated for their likeness being used to make money. The NCAA still governs college athletics and can impose rules and fines. States currently create laws governing the conditions for athletes getting paid but it still a violation of NCAA rules to use money to entice kids to come to a particular school. Also, I know typos happen, but you really need to be extra careful when calling someone a moron

Read the comments of the justices and the opinions. Yes. That’s the ruling but almost ALL lawyers believe that the NCAA will lose looming antitrust suits due to the statements made in this opinion. That is the point. At that point the NCAA will be declared illegal in this nation. I have read them. All of them.

You only believe that can’t happen because you’re not informed. (I apologize for calling you a moron).

What they both have in common is money. Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit.

Except the Yankees win, yall haven't won shite. There is a 50/50 shot yall might forfeit the season....
Bitch arse teams with bitch arse coaches quit.
A&M's best season in 30 years and could make the playoff. Followed up by a 8 and 4fit season
What makes you believe jimbo has some magic touch.
A&m will not finish in the top 10 this season.
I have no issues with paying players or nil. I have issues with rats, bitches and quitters and A&m has the trifecta

From the Revolutionary War through Vietnam. A ton of 17 years olds died fighting for this nation.

At least 5 men killed in Vietnam were 16 years old. At least 12 men killed in Vietnam were 17 years old.

When I was 17 I went to school, had a full-time job and a car payment.

outta here with that "17 year old child" bullshite.

Here’s the truth. College football has changed. This game is BIG business. Schools are making millions of dollars and networks making BILLIONS.

Off of 17 year old kids. Off of children. That frequently are from poor homes.

You know what that’s called? Exploitation.

It’s NEVER a going back to the way it was. Ever.

The NCAA is a shell corporation with no teeth that has been ripped to pieces by US law.

It has to be rebuilt into a system that players get paid. We will have salary caps and there will be the NY Yankees and the have nots in this venture.

Why? Because it’s capitalism. That’s why. That’s the way America works. You get as much as you can for your product as you can.

It’s called the free market. It’s legal. And it’s here.

You can ignore it, or find out how to deal with it.

And yes, schools like Texas and A&M and USC will be the Yankees in this world.

That doesn’t meat they will win anything but they will spend more than anyone to try.

And it will be total legal. Get used to it. It ain’t going away.

Up at 7AM on a Saturday morning to type that?

You clearly don’t know A&M. We are a cult. The booster money isn’t doing anything but increasing.

Maybe you should go look at our facilities sometime.

Here’s what doesn’t make sense -

Saban wants more rules and regulations for NIL. But does Bama really follow the rules anyway? No

Bama has been paying players, buying chargers, getting dad’s jobs, moving families, hiring more staff - basically operating outside the rules and regulations for years. That’s what makes it laughable.

Unfortunately, any benefit that A&M gets through NIL will be mitigated somewhat by the transfer portal. You can only put 11 players on the field at a time. Kids may sign because the money was right but they won’t stick around if they aren’t getting the opportunity to develop and showcase their talent in order to get to the next level. Recruiting rankings don’t mean shite if kids don’t develop, don’t play and don’t stay with the program. How many stud QB’s has A&M churned in the last 15 years while your 2 best QB’s were a 3* and a converted WR?

Avoiding anti-trust issues is exactly why the NCAA hasn’t regulated anything regarding NIL itself, but is lobbying Congress to make standards around it.

However, they can still penalize schools for recruiting violations, which is where the main issue lies regarding A&M and other schools that could be benefiting from NIL in recruiting.

I believe courts can rule in all sorts of ways and the NCAA may be dissolved at some point, but they aren’t right now.

Also, I forgive you.

A&M will implode. Wait till a check doesn’t clear or a paid employee rapes someone and boosters get sued.

This. Somehow this fact isn’t taken into account when “A&M has access to the best talent” is mentioned. It’s absurd

You're an idiot.

The only reason A&M pulled in the class they did is because they were the only ones breaking the rules.
