Here’s the truth. College football has changed. This game is BIG business. Schools are making millions of dollars and networks making BILLIONS.

Off of 17 year old kids. Off of children. That frequently are from poor homes.

You know what that’s called? Exploitation.

It’s NEVER a going back to the way it was. Ever.

The NCAA is a shell corporation with no teeth that has been ripped to pieces by US law.

It has to be rebuilt into a system that players get paid. We will have salary caps and there will be the NY Yankees and the have nots in this venture.

Why? Because it’s capitalism. That’s why. That’s the way America works. You get as much as you can for your product as you can.

It’s called the free market. It’s legal. And it’s here.

You can ignore it, or find out how to deal with it.

And yes, schools like Texas and A&M and USC will be the Yankees in this world.

That doesn’t meat they will win anything but they will spend more than anyone to try.

And it will be total legal. Get used to it. It ain’t going away.

Three of these teams have a title in the last 80 years and one is not like the others.

True. And irrelevant to the point made. Nice deflection though.

There is a limit to how much any team will be able to pay. It will be limited by the boosters, since if the players are not performing (off or on the field) the boosters will not pay

There is a HUGE difference in the NY Yankees and college football teams. Now if the big money boosters want to throw millions of dollars for a 3-4 year athlete, then it will be equal

They did not get rich throwing their money away.

Texas, A&M, USC, tOSU, UM, etc will be the biggest beneficiaries of the new system. Those with large alumni bases and lots of money. And other schools have billionaires willing to bankroll things.

Stop being poor. Is it right? No, but it is reality

How is it irrelevant? Until aTm makes it to Atlanta and can prove they can sustain, they’re all talk. Hell Jimbo has to prove he can develop those five stars as well. Everyone understands that aTm will buy classes until they make it illegal. No one is questioning how much money is there. But it doesn’t mean you can put yourself in the same league as teams who actually win championships. At least win your division before you start going and doing that.

Somewhat agree and we haven’t done shite in 16 years with such a large athletic budget. Still comes down to coaching and player development

It’s irrelevant because I am speaking of what teams will be willing to pay. Not performance on the field.

That is what I said. Learn to read.

True. Somewhat. Players help. But that’s not the entire equation.

UMichigan-1

Poor LSU- 3
Poor Bama- 10

Willing to pay for results is what aTm is doing. It’s yet to be seen if it’ll work.

Still - mentioning aTm in the same breath as USC, Texas or the Yankees in any context is a joke. I don’t care how much money is being paid for recruiting classes.

Yes you still have to have a good mix of 4-5 star talent…which I am or convinces in Texas’s case, hasn’t been overrated, or we coached the talent right out of em

You dumbass hillbillies may believe that. But the coaches don’t or they wouldn’t be throwing a fit like children.

That is why Saban is scared and pointing fingers? It is a simple math equation. Did you realize that A&M is now one of the largest schools out there and continues to grow?

You’re absolutely right.

Last 10 seasons:
USC: 77-47 (.620)
tu: 70-55 (.560)
Texas A&M: 85-41 (.674)

Alabama fans are more commonly referred to as rednecks/hicks and Tennessee fans are the hillbillies. Keep up.

Texas and USC have titles in the last 20 years and both are more relevant as national brands than aTm.
