Who else thought Justin Fields would be the one to get Colt McCoyed with his ribs injury? Didn’t look look like a big hit.

I mean, he was obviously hurt. I don't think he made a business decision like Colt.

Why the original post?

Well only action the original poster knows is sitting in the stands or standing on sidelines shaking POM POM she knows nothing about injuries in a football game

Hurt feelings do not equal injury.

Don’t think it was a business decision either. It was strange because no one was expecting that injury at all, much less his first play. This is not a celebration of his injury. Just odd it happened.

Didn’t know that. Thought it was the hit.

I thought it was the hit when Anderson came in and popped him as the others were holding him up. But it might have been the ground too.

They had to take him to the hospital, so he was obviously hurt. I think the injury might have occurred when he hit the ground rather than when a Bama player hit him.

Could have been a re-injury. He was in some huge collisions against NW and Clemson.

Looked like he landed funny with weight of a bama player on him.

He fell on that shoulder with people on top of him... popped his collarbone. I am actually surprised it doesn't happen more often

He didn't even come out of the game. Stayed in all three downs on the three-and-out. Pass batted down on second down was intended for him.

I don't think that was strictly business decision. It's not like he was a high-round draft prospect going into that game to begin with. He literally couldn't lift his arm or throw it to his dad 20 ft away in the locker room

It was shite luck, but it is what it is. Bama still won that game fair and square
