Travesty they didn’t call PI on the final play!

Look at the Miami DB being absolutely mugged by the Ole Miss WR.
What’s the correct call here - OPI or hands to the face?

Has a ref ever thrown a flag for this in this spot?

I see the ref letting them play - both are causing interference.

Only 15 yd. penalty, not a spot foul. Still odds against them to score a TD on next play..

No. It’s always a free for all on a Hail Mary.

The pass wasn't even catchable

I think this board lacks reading comprehension
Cheers to you

Illegal hands to the face?
Yes they do.
Yes they do.

Sure, we can totally know what all happened on that play from that one snapshot.

If youre calling a bunch of pi for three quarters keep doing it in the fourth quarter. If your letting play all game don’t throw a ticky tacky flag on a huge play late in game. Just be consistent so coaches can at least adjust to game flow.

Who downvoted me? Explain what your eyeballs see so that I can see it too.

I don’t know what this is but downvoted on principle

Let's see the whole play in slow motion, of course.
UM vs OM Final Play
It appears the near side official was blocked from seeing what either player was doing as so often happens in things like this it is the referee on the far side who throws a flag which didn't happen last night.
It would have been entertaining to see another attempt from 15 yards closer, perhaps to a receiver underneath the coverage who could then pitch to a trailing back aka the old flea flicker.

Trying to run through the db.

If he wouldn't have been held, that was actually a catchable ball. It came down where receiver would have been.

I think they should get both teams back and let Ole Miss have another play. It’s the only fair thing to do.

Bigger issue were the missed false starts. Miami LG cleared the center on one play before it was snapped and the RT got almost two full steps into his pass pro set on the go ahead drive. Both were 3rd down conversions.
But we had every opportunity to win the game regardless and unfortunately did not. Miami is very talented and played really well.

That's a hook & ladder/lateral, not a flea flicker.
