When UCLA ends your season and they fall back to irrelevance, do y’all continue pretending to care about Bama basketball or do you go back to being Bama football fans and UK basketball fans?

When the basketball season ends, I'll be reverting back to my ongoing National Championship parade mode till the end of August.

For everyone else, I'm predicting a long hot summer.

And Bear Bryant was a racist POS

Really? Sylvester Croom disagrees.
"All these years later, Sylvester Croom still gets emotional thinking about Paul “Bear” Bryant.

Not about Bryant’s six national titles or his then-record 323 career victories. Not about his trademark houndstooth hats or his utter domination of the Southeastern Conference. And not even Bryant’s successful move in the early-1970s to integrate the Alabama football team.

No, what puts a quaver in Croom’s voice is a memory from an Alabama road trip. At the time, Croom was an assistant on Bryant’s staff, coaching the Crimson Tide linebackers.

Bryant made his way, seemingly alone, down a hotel hallway. As he walked, the Alabama coach encountered a hotel worker, an African-American maid.

Croom, at a distance, watched as Bryant removed his hat, nodded to the woman and spoke to her.

“I don’t know if he even knew I was there,” Croom, who is now an assistant coach with the Tennessee Titans, told The Athletic. “I’ll never forget it. It was one of the most impressive things I ever saw him do.”

Croom, one of Bryant’s early African-American recruits, remains moved by the exchange decades after it occurred, pointing to it as a sign of Bryant’s quiet dignity. After playing for and later coaching under Bryant, Croom went on to become the first African-American head coach in the SEC, leading Mississippi State from 2004 to 2008."

BB isn't important now. Football is the only important sport. You want your team to win in all sports but football is the only one that bothers you in any real way if they lose.

Guy isn't trolling - his entire existence is defined by how much Alabama controls his emotional well being. He basically said it himself.

a quick search shows that Alabama has won more SEC titles than LSU has and has won 83 games to 52 vs LSU head to head

the series record is 112-74 (those #'s you posted are from a certain year, don't go all the way back)

How many times, literally and figuratively, will Alabama have to drag their nuts across LSU fans' foreheads before the Swamptards accept their fates and stop embarrassing themselves on here?

Very on brand LSU post you have here.

I've watched plenty of crappy basketball, and if that is our fate, I will do so again. But it's much more likely that Oats continues building a strong program. We return our leading scorer, the SEC Tourney MVP, and add some great pieces. Plus we have Gary and Ellis back.

I know you don't believe this. Sure, football blew, but basketball was all right.
