UF did win the SEC title in 1990, was denied title because of unproven violation before Spurrier arrived in 1990 and BTW we beat Bama on the road in 1990. So make that 9 SEC titles.

Programs that have fired coaches for using school resources to arrange meetings with women of the night since 1990:

Bama (MIke Price)

2011, loss at HOME in NOVEMBER to LSU.
2012, loss at HOME in November to A&M
2017, we all know that story.

One of these is not like the others....

Seriously Puppet, you need to learn what a mulligan is and see if your health care plan covers therapy.

How many NC did FSU loss in SEPT due to a loss to Miami. Everyone knew they were the best team at the end of the year, but they were not awarded a Mulligan.

That's not a mulligan

I can give you '11 and '17 obviously. But '12? Nah

Losing at home in November would eliminate most teams. Like I said, see FSU in the 90s.

Yeah and then all the teams ahead of us lost(aside from notre dame). Then we still had to beat Georgia in the SECCG to make it to the BCSCG. Not a mulligan.

Edit: also, the only time in the 90's that FSU lost to Miami and lost a shot at a NC was 1992. They ended up ranked 3 behind undefeated Alabama and Miami. Every other year FSU lost to Miami they lost or tied a game afterwards.

Let's take a look shall we?

In 1987, Florida State finished their season 11-1. Their only loss was to Miami, a team that finished 12-0 and won the national championship. In the BCS era, FSU would not have been afforded a re-match because #1 Oklahoma and #2 Miami were both undefeated going into the post-season.

In 1988, FSU lost to Miami in the first game of the season and didn't lose again. They lost 31-0, however, and going into the post-season they were ranked #4 behind #1 Notre Dame (11-0), #2 Miami (10-1), and #3 West Virginia (11-0). So once again, no chance at a "mulligan."

In 1989, FSU defeated Miami in the regular season but finished the regular season with a 9-2 record. So...no chance at any type of mulligan.

In 1990, FSU lost to both Miami and Auburn to finish the regular season at 9-2. Once again, no chance at a mulligan.

In 1991, FSU lost to Miami and Florida, in the last two weeks of the season, to finish the regular season at 10-2. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1992, FSU's only loss was to Miami and they finished the regular season ranked #3 behind #1 Miami (11-0) and #2 Alabama (12-0). Once again...no chance at a mulligan.

In 1993, Florida State won its first ever national championship by defeating #2 Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Good for them!

In 1994, FSU lost its only game of the season to Miami and tied Florida to end their regular season ranked #7 with a 9-1-1 record. Nebraska and Penn State were undefeated, untied, and ranked #1 and #2 respectively. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1995, FSU finished the regular season 9-2. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1996, FSU finished the regular season undefeated and #1, but lost to #3 Florida in the Sugar Bowl, denying the Seminoles their program's second national championship. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1997, FSU's only loss came to Florida in the last game of the regular season. #1 Michigan and #2 Nebraska finished the regular season undefeated. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1998, Florida State finished the regular season 11-1 and ranked #2. They played #1 Tennessee in the Fiesta Bowl and lost. No chance at a mulligan.

In 1999, Florida State finished the season 12-0 and ranked #1 in the country. This was Florida State's second ever national championship season. Well done!

In 2000, Florida State got a mulligan by losing to Miami for their only loss of the season. Miami finished with the same record but somehow finished #3 behind #2 Florida State and #1 Oklahoma. #2 Florida State lost to #1 Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. No chance at a second mulligan.

Thirteen of the last 27 natties won, and two of those games were all-SEC finals...and also two games where the SEC lost the title games vs Clem and Neb.

We've entered an age where the SEC wins about 50% or more of all natties..and it will not stop in your lifetimes!
