I'd argue that Felix Jones belongs on that list, also.

We can all pretend that him and Cedric Houston wasn't the best backfield the SEC has ever seen, but we'd be lying to ourselves.

I know that ya'll are going to say that Henry got the best of Fournette head to head and all but I think at the end of their careers we will say Fournette was better. I will admit you could make a legit argument for either.

Sorry I don't get the "Henry beat LF7 head to head" thing. Not a one of you can honestly say you know Henry would have done squat against Bama's D.

Also, to repeat actual facts, Henry has only gained more yards than LF7 because he has/will play more games. LF7 did better per carry/per game.

Finally, LF7, with an average game for him in the bowl, will be 2nd all-time for a season. As a sophomore. 2nd only to Henry, and only because Henry will play 14 or 15 games to LF7's 12. How can you not put him in top 3 of any list since 2000?

Not to jump into this black hole again, but Henry was better against Power 5 competition than Fournette was.

LF vs P5 : 151 ypg, 6.2 ypc, 1.56 TD per game
DH vs P5 : 176 ypg, 6.2 ypc, 1.78 TD per game

If you combine his college and Pro careers he has 1 season with 1000+ yards

He's currently in his 2nd 1000+ yard-season in a row.

It is a black hole, because Henry had 36 more carries.

The numbers are almost identical, per touch.

Sure, agree, but the other side to that argument is this is the first and only year Henry has gotten to be the feature back. LF will get 2 of those years.

Same yards per carry even then, and LF7's math includes a game vs Bama's gorillas. My point was just that since 2000 LF/Henry/Dmac should be everyone's top 3 if they are being honest. The others are top backs, but those 3 are the best.

Agree, it is all really close.

Henry did have better figures against the better teams on his schedule, though.

vs FBS Winning Teams
DH : 156.22 ypg, 6.19 ypc, 2.00 TD per game
LF : 125.43 ypg, 4.88 ypc, 1.29 TD per game

Eh, not really. His freshman year he barely played until the Sugar Bowl. His sophomore year (last year) was basically the same as LF's freshman year.

So, in terms of being in a program, yes he has been there 1 more year. In terms of participation in games they are really about equal.

It also involves games against Syracuse, South Carolina and Florida while Henry's were against Wisconsin (Top 5 run D), Georgia and Tennessee.

Both are great, but Henry had a better year and had better games against the better teams on his schedule.
