Oh. OK that's not tied for 5th, that's tied for 8th. So likely 3 more? Don't be so sensi.

McFadden was a system player.

His less than spectacular NFL career speaks volumes about his potential.

I agree.

Right now:

1. DMC
2. Lattimore
3. Gurley
4. Henry
5. Ingram

This time next year:

1. DMC/Fournette
2. DMC/Fournette
3. Lattimore
4. Gurley
5. Henry

Lattimore was a good back his 4.8 per carry average and middling total yard numbers don't stick out at you though. He was "better than the numbers" say I suppose

I can see how my post was confusing because I used all-time single season rushing yards. I was using 5th for the "modern era" top 5 for TDs though.

From what I've gathered from this thread "modern era" in the last 10 years or so. That makes the list:

1. Mason
2. Henry
3. Richardson
4. Ballard
5. Fournette/Scott

Yeah. Lattimore is a great guy, little over-rated here, though.

Lattimore was USCe's heart and soul. I have him that high based solely on that.

46 more rushing yards and he has the 5th best single season ever. 76 more and he's 4th. 90 more and he's 3rd. 151 more and he's 2nd.

He's already tied for 5th in TDs, will likely finish in the top 3.

All in his sophomore year. Don't be fricking stupid.

you know it's fun on here for idiots to be idiots and act as though Fournette is overrated. It's the price you pay when LSU fans start a messagboard for a bunch of mouth breathers. Take it in stride.

yall are insane. There isn't any justification for putting latimore ahead of Gurley. They both had issues missing games (either to injury, suspension, whatever), but good thing we can look at the great equalizer. Stats.

GURLEY
510 carries for 3,285. 6.4 YPC. 36 TDs
65 receptions for 615. 9.5 YPC. 6 TDs
11 KO returns for 422. 38.4 YPR. 2 TDs

LATTIMORE
555 carries for 2,677. 4.8 YPC. 38 TDs
74 receptions for 767. 10.4 YPC. 3 TDs

Gurley played in 30 games and accounted for 264 points.
Lattimore played in 29 games and accounted for 246 points.

Oakland might have something to do with that. He could do it on his own in the SEC it's much harder to run the ball with no passing game in the NFL

Gonna be like going back in time to this board in 2010-2011.

Better then Ingram, too!

I'd argue that Felix Jones belongs on that list, also.

If you combine his college and Pro careers he has 1 season with 1000+ yards

McFadden has 2 seasons with over 1600 yards.

Trent Richardson, Tre Mason, Derrick Henry, Leonard Fournette, and Darren McFaden have each had more yards in a season.

He won a heisman because he was the best offensive player on an undefeated Alabama team. His season was far from extraordinary.

He was the first to benefit from Gus's system. He was racking up WildCat numbers before teams even considered that a viable offensive set.
