Exactly. How do we KNOW this was done by a UA fan. Sure it's been joked about, but whoever did this obviously knows their tree poisons and is pissed at AU. 2 + 2 = MSU.

IMO it is one thing to spray paint a schools gym or do damage that can be cleared up but it is another to do perm damage to another school's property due to a rivalry. It bothers me that some Auburn fans put a Cam jersey on the Bear statue, but that doesn't perm damage it. I'd be pissed if they did lasting damage to the statue, and hope this doesn't lead to that type of a problem.
People take this rivalry way too serious. If Auburn or Alabama closed its doors I'd be sad but my life would go on, I honestly believe there are people who couldn't function if that happened.

When the Bama grass happened, the concensus was that Toomer's Trees would get hit. Imo, the blame lies on Auburn for not taking the right precautions.

It's been joked about for years. Someone in this thread mentioned bombing Denny Chimes or "digging up the Bear", if either of those happened should they be arrested and put on trial?
Now if they trace the phone records to the dude that claimed to poison it on Finebaum and then track down that he bought this special poison or whatever then OK he's fricked. Otherwise to think that only UA fans hate AU is a little short sighted.
