Vitello is the best coach in the SEC right now in baseball

Stop this…..

I know you aren’t familiar with national titles…

But there are at least 4 active coaches in the SEC that have won national titles. Some have won multiple. Other coaches have been to Omaha multiple times(which is the real measure of NCAA baseball success).

Vitello has done well for himself…..but there is nothing to point to….to call him the best coach in the SEC. Even in his best season, another SEC coach won the national title. Lol

You try so hard

With Vitello in charge, the Vols have increased their win total during every full season since his arrival (29 – 2018, 40 – 2019, 50 – 2021, 57 – 2022)

He has earned a reputation as one of the elite recruiters on the college baseball landscape, having assembled 12 top-15 signing classes--including America's top-rated crop of talent in 2014. In November 2016, D1Baseball.com ranked Vitello No. 2, and tops in the SEC, on its list of the top 30 recruiting coordinators in America.

During a full-time, Division I coaching career, Vitello has signed and developed nine first-round MLB Draft picks.

Vitello, a two-time National Coach of the Year during his time at Tennessee,

UT's 2022 record-breaking season was followed by an equally impressive showing in the 2022 MLB Draft, as a program-record 10 Vols were selected, ranking second among all schools nationally and first in the SEC.

Lsu's 5'5" Midget Jay Johnson comes up short to Coach V both literally and figuratively. Facts.

Fun fact Tigah fans. You let Da Stony Brook SeaLions take your CWS bid in 2012 at the Box. Worst team ever in Omaha. Biggest embarrassment in SEC baseball history.
Notre Dame > Stony Brooks 1,000 times over ;-]

went 2 & Que in Omaha getting bounced by an Arizona St team that had 39 total wins when it arrived to the CWS.

2012 Stony Brook had 52 wins when it got to Omaha.

Wow, you are for real. Holy smokes.
- Their best regular season win was 1-1 series spilt with Kansas.
- They had 0 wins in the regular season against NCAA tourney teams. They were a #4 seed for a reason.
- They had 1 player make MLB, very mundane journeyman. 0 others came close.
- They were the 1st team from the Northeast to make CWS in 30 years and 0 have gone since.
- They went 0-2 in Omaha. Getting crushed by 8 and 10 runs.

Lsu fans don't know anything about beisbol. LOL. Cope harder.

I've never seen a fanbase more proud of repeatedly losing when it matters most. I guess it is sort of impressive to go that long without winning anything meaningful. Hopefully they can keep the impressive streak going.

There's nothing wrong with UT fans being proud of what they did in the regular season last year, but the fact that these fricks feel the need to spam the board on a daily basis about how great their team is is annoying as hell.

We know enough to know that you don't brag about how great your team is before conference play begins.

The SEC Rant seriously needs to implement "User Banning Nominations."

When one of the obnoxious/annoying SEC Rant VGT's gets nominated, that poster is permabanned IF they can garner 100 or more UP VOTES. (UP VOTES for permabanning said poster)

That would clean this place up fast!
