Honestly I hate watching this. Kids screwed up and he knew it. I have no desire to make fun of him. But also, driving 140Mph? Running from the police? With a gun and half pound of weed at the same time? Selfish and stupid. I hope he finds Off the field discipline before he inevitably receives a second chance somewhere else.
I’m not an arse but I think part of the problem is elite athletes are given chances while not suffering any consequences for their actions. If it was a joint and he mad a buddy were smoking but he was knowingly committing a serious crime and then evades police at 140 mph. That’s a serious crime.

I agree with you. I wasn’t trying to imply he should get off without consequences. There are too many young men out there who aren’t given the counsel from someone invested in their well-being that is telling them they aren’t invincible and there are consequences for their actions. Our culture is broken. Im glad nobody got hurt.

Yeah, frick "not being a dick."
If this fricking dipshit was an LSU player, I'd still be embarrassed over how fast "OG" became "Mommyyyyyy!"
frick this generation of pussies right in their arse.

Kid is an idiot. That’s not “just a kid screwing up”. That is sheer stupidity.
Couple that with putting other people’s lives at risk. If he wasn’t an athlete, you guys would be singing a different tune

I literally laughed out loud at the very end when Mitchell is breaking down, bawling, and you can clearly hear in the background, Donna Summer’s, “She works hard for the money.”

No it won't. I just want to know how much that DA in Monroe got paid by Saban and the REC.

People gave the kid that killed the Brambletts some slack because “he was a kid.” That kid was high as shite, and has since been arrested multiple times since then, he’s a bad person.
There’s making bad decisions, but fleeing the cops at 141mph with weapons, money and drugs is deep rooted issues that will take years to correct. Glad he got caught.

Man I feel for the kid. You can tell his buddy will likely be caught again down the road. Don’t hang with bad apples

The vast majority are. We just hear about the ones who aren't. The ones who are good are usually very, very good. The ones who are bad are very, very bad.

I wish these talented players stop making these bad decisions. I hope he get right and get a second chance.
Study was done awhile back. The average persons brain does not fully develop in decision making and understanding the full consequences of ones actions until 25-26 years old. (Obviously some will mature younger and some will mature later) Think about when you were in high school. If presented with something that seemed fun, exciting and maybe a little dangerous, you probably jumped on it. (Remember amusement park rides like roller coasters, etc? Those were the rides you were drawn to.) As we grow older we fully develop a sense of danger and the consequences of poor decisions and become more risk averse.
When seen in this light, it helps understand what Mitchell was going through when caught by the police. He began to understand that he had screwed up and the consequences could cost him big time in opportunities.
Here's hoping he has learned a valuable lesson and gets himself straightened out. My guess is, his understanding the consequences of actions now will make him more careful in the future and keep him out of trouble. OR...he might think he got away with something and can continue doing stupid stuff.

As a D1 athlete he had the chance to make it all better. Still chose this path. Sad indeed.

I mean you can’t excuse what he did and he deserves his punishment, no special treatment should’ve be given to anyone. At the end of the day he messed up and seems like he knows he did, hopefully he gets a chance to turn things around and grows from this.

He’ll be punished. Saban will get the charges dropped and then suspend him for 1 series against Middle Tennessee on 9/2.

Half pound marijuana, gun, high speed run chace. He deserves everything coming to him.

All he had to do was take a short break from being a shitbag.

He was crying 30 seconds after being out of the car.
