I hope they can get this done and we can keep UF on our schedule every year. Would hate to give that game up.

EDIT: Assuming we give it up if we stay at an 8 game conference schedule. Haven't been following this too close.

Well we ae the two winningest programs in SEC history so we should want more games because that will mean more wins!

Go Vols!

So playing another SEC team instead of some scrub will guarantee more wins.

When in the hell did the Vols start intentionally trying to live in our shadow?

Not so much the added conference game that concerns me, it's the inequity of the home/away games.

The rest have real rivalries outside of the conference.

FIFY.

No Alabama fan should ever, under any circumstance, call another fanbase pussies when it comes to scheduling.

Is this considered a big deal in the Pac 12 and Big 12, as they already have a 9-game schedule?

Bama wants 9 so they can make a push for Vandy as a permanent opponent.

How does Butch Jones ever expect to get UT to a bowl game with 9 conference games

Bert will be on board soon. Saban is still drafting Bert's opinion on the 9 game scheduling.

I don't like 9 games, 5 home 4 road conference game doesn't work. I'd rather play 3 cupcakes non-conference and 1 good non-conference. Clearly, there is a very powerful force, espn, that is pushing hard for 9 games otherwise this issue would be settled long time ago. I like 8 games with the acc staying at 8 also than the two leagues have schedule alliance that keeps the crossover rival games and rotates the other school's.
