One thing to look at is how much better UF, LSU, and Alabama all played him in the second half. Adjustments were made. Not saying he can't have a great encore, but he will have to be able counter the counter so to speak.

Well, Cam Newton can into the NFL in the strike shortened season and tore things up. Then the next season, theres more game film on him and defenses adjusted and he's struggled this year.

There may be a similar situation with JM and there might be a dip in stats but I'm sure he'll still be one of the best in the SEC and a nightmare for defenses.

Nothing wrong with that sentiment. I expect A&M to run the ball more next year. It's going to be about team success, not Johnny's stats.

Not sure why the opinion of some Big East coach is noteworthy.

Don't really care what he said about your recruiting. I don't think his comments are really critical or untrue. Next year will be tougher for Manziel. He'll have a target on his back.

Well I for one would like to thank all those SEC defenses for going easy on JFF this year then. Clearly he is screwed and all those predictions he would end up in a body cast will finally come true next year. He can't possibly get better by knowing the offense better and having a year of experience. He will probably forget how to run and pass as well.

Oh well, it was a fun year while it lasted.

TT speaks the truth. Tamu people shouldn't even be mad about this if they read the entire article.

I for one am not mad about it. Anyone who thinks that the defenses won't adjust to our offense is nuts, but by the same thinking anyone who thinks our offense won't adjust is also nuts. We will just have to wait and see whos adjustments work. That's why we play the game.

I'll underestimate him all day long. Tommy Tuberville is a washed-up has-been. He's Mack Brown with less success and more back-stabbery.

irony of it all is that tubs started off as DC at A&M when Bob Davie went to ND.

Wow these Ta&m are really sensitive. Look dude they told us auburn would go 6-6 this year and I laughed. I only wish we had gone 6-6.. I'm just saying dont laugh too hard just yet. You in the SEC now and Saban,Miles, and Co will adjust to you guys I've seen it happen. Urban and Saban (see 08) urban was a offensive wiz too and he had tebow and Saban caught his arse. Just saying.

Who hasn't ... beaten Bama?

Bama has the biggest target on their back in the country, bar none. They have to play like Champions every single week. No other team in the country is as targeted as they are in that regard.

We've all beaten Bama. (Wait, has Georgia beaten Bama in the past decade, I dunno?)

Anyways, South Carolina is 3-2 against them the last five times we've played them. 3-3 since the turn of this millennium. But they beat us ten frickin' times in a row before that so just keep in mind, they'll make you pay next year I've got a feeling, enjoy this signature win while you can.

LSU is what, 9-5 against them since the turn of the millennium?

Florida is only 2-4 against them.

Georgia is 3-1 against them ... but Georgia gets pussy schedules pretty much every year and were it not for SC, UT, AU and UF Georgia would be skating by untouched every year - hell they've only played LSU six or seven times this millennium. Wait, errrr, how the hell did we get off on the butt lickers. Stop that.

Anyways, Tuberville was just telling the truth - common sense stuff. No knock on A&M, but next year will be totally different. It always is in this league. If you don't believe it just look at Arkansas this year.

Owell. My point is, beating Bama is not what the SEC is all about. A&M had a dream season in the first year. You've got nowhere to go but down now, if you are not careful.

In the meantime I am glad you are in the league and I truly hope, with all sincerity, that you use the SEC to surpass Texas in the state of Texas. I really do. frick'em. But don't get all high and mighty and snotty on us. The SEC has a way of humbling the shite out of you once you do that.

I'm pretty sure a "dream season" is 14-0 with a $50,000 trophy to go with it.

This year we FINALLY played up to our potential and were very fortunate to avoid the major injury bug.
