He's from Southern California, so you have to consider he'd be interested in the USC job

but the largest chunk of his coaching career has been in the general triangle of Austin, Houston and Houston outskirts, and the San Antonio outskirts. Is his wife from there? Don't know

So it seems his natural interest would favor the USC and Texas jobs

There are 14 SEC teams and we are well aware that 13 of those fan bases do NOT want him coming to LSU.

Calls are being made. Take that to the bank.

I just got off the phone with Jimbo actually. He recommended Rocky Road and Peppermint. Weird combo but it sounds pretty good.

I'd would be awesome if Herman stayed in Houston and owned Texas until forever

But he can go to LSU and lose to Bama every year. Why pass that up?

LSU owns the state of Texas. He won't have to move...

Is Arkansas looking to change their head coach at the end of this year? I didn't think so, why start this thread then?

When has LSU ever been able attract the HC who had already established himself?

Trent Johnson?

Prepare yourself for another hire of a middling HC from a less conference like always for LSU.

Don't know of many quality coaches that would want to work for an Ath. Dept and University that didn't have his back.

LSU admins seem to be trying every back door they can to get rid of Miles. Good coaches see this, it's why Auburn's post-Tubs hires have been out the door quickly. A fair-weather fanbase with fairweather admins does not make a recipe for a stable program that a good football coach aims to build.

If LSU is doing a coaching search through back channels they'll scare off every decent candidate and they'll end up hiring some table scrap coach.
