If State gets rid of Gurt after 2 years, they’re headed down a Tennessee path. Plus, that’s not a good look for any prospective coaches.

Barring Matt Luke having a complete and total meltdown and running onto the field and assaulting the officiating crew, Luke gets one more year come hell or high water. We have accepted this fate.
I just can’t see State firing Gurt this year, even with an Egg Bowl loss. The college football mouthpieces will rip State a new one if they do that.
