Texas is definitely gay. It has been awarded the best school in America for gay people before and they have Pride flags all over that campus. If you are from Texas and you are gay that's where you want to go. I’m not a fan of trolling in general, in addition to other behaviors posted here sometimes, like resorting to ad hominem fallacy (e.g. name-calling). First and foremost, I should be cordial to everyone. That stated, others lose all credibility to me when they lower their standards of discourse to such a level.
But I try to remind myself:
1) Take nothing posted here personally or seriously. There is nothing I can do about any of it. It is what it is.
Don’t waste any of my time or mental / emotional energy on behaviors for which I don’t approve. Observe it, accept it, and think nothing else of it.
Ignore what I don’t care for. Enjoy the rest.
2) This board is named “secRANT”. So if I let any of it bother me, that’s on me.
3) If I wouldn’t say it to your face, I shouldn’t post it to you.
4)I’m no better than anyone else here.
5) Have fun.
I try to apply these rules / standards to me only. Sometimes I fail. Sometimes I need to remind myself to “Lighten up, Francis.” It’s all in fun.

What makes #1 so funny is that the knock against Texas A&M has always been that we are too socially and politically conservative, and not open-minded enough to align with the “usual” liberal college experience. Anyone who has spent time around our student body or university knows this rings true.
We’ve showed up on lists such as “least LGBTQ friendly,” or “most conservative,” yet on tRant, the script has been weirdly rewritten.
But I agree with the overall premise of this thread. It gets old.

To be clear I believe 2 is more accurate if you'd say the line "Texas is tranny" and 3 "Alabama fans sleep with their sisters" and honorable mention "Auburn has 5 mascots"
