The crazy thing is that South Carolina went to the Outback Bowl the following season and beat Ohio State. Lol

I never realized bud went that long before a conference loss when he started at oklahoma....impressive streak before "the streak".....nice find dawg!

Updated: He actually started in 1947. And still lost his first conference game in 1959. There were a few ties in there, but no losses.

I think they still sold out every home game, which is quite impressive. You've got to admire the dedication of South Carolina fans. They get my respect.

No surprises there. That was an epically difficult all-SEC regular season. Plus teams had to run through that gauntlet with no home-field advantage.

I'm not a guy who says that year doesn't count or anything, but it's far harder to play in front of a packed crowd than not. And much, much easier for offenses on the road. Having people not in the seats didn't make things more difficult.

OU fans have never really gotten over losing to that Oklahoma City Town team back in '95... ruined what would have otherwise been a perfect season.
