That's simply nothing everyone else isn't having to face now. It's expected every off-season you're likely going to lose at least 20 players to the Transfer Portal.

And if you look back, 26 players after a coaching change isn't that bad. Auburn is at 31 right now. Iowa State was left around 16-17 remaining players that didn't hit the TP.

You claimed he inherited a Ferrari. Now you are saying he could have got one in the transfer portal.

It will be interesting to watch the SEC over the next 5 years.
Will any team dominate?

Do UGA and BAMA come back or will other teams take their place. Hope all of us stay healthy enough to enjoy how it all plays out.

Have a safe and healthy 2026 fans

Things have changed in Auburn too. I would not have been able to imagine Auburn having 5 losing seasons in a row if I hadn’t just seen it with my own eyes.

No, I didn't. I said the roster turnover isn't anything out of the ordinary in today's TP world. He had an elite roster.

Alabama made the playoffs. Brian Kelly would say that Bama fans are VERY spoiled, with emphasis on the word very. The dynasty run is over for Bama. Deboer is a good coach, but Bama wants championships every year and he’s not good enough for that.

Now since you have so much time lay out au for us.

The one thing that has not changed is the obsession by au fans and the stepchild program of the state. Please keep entertaining us.

Yeah they all expect to reload.

I've been an Alabama fan for over 50 years. Anyone who expects us to win every other national championship is clueless. I expect us to be good and competitive most every year and a national championship will come every now and then.

For as much as they talk about Saban this and Saban that, Saban didn't even have the expectations they are putting on DeBoer. Nobody expected Saban to tear off 6 and 3 in 4 years.

Now suddenly winning 11 games on the 4th toughest schedule isn't good enough. All because a legit better team beat the shite out of us. Hell, I remember when Saban got blown out 31-0 when he was the coach @ LSU in a home game. I wonder if he was on the hot seat then, no good coach could ever lose a game like that right? And it wasn't even against the #1 team in the post season.

Same people will call the team soft, but they are soft as charmin fans.

Well...

At least we're not Auburn.

We'll always have that.

If he did, it was one that Saban wrecked. Go ahead and look at our 2023 ratings. We were #8 in FEI that year, and basically the same place we are now.

Not having extreme roster turnover is the entire thing that made the Saban Ferrari doofus.

No, he did not inherit a Ferrari, or rather, it was a Ferrari but a relic of the past type of Ferrari that was not trying to keep up with newer models.

DeBoer may not be the guy for Alabama (its likely the coach in Indiana), but, they are where they are.

In another era, sure. This is the NIL/TP roster. Nobody avoids at least a little roster turnover. This is why Nick Saban retired.

Also, one off-season of losing players didn't erase the entire, elite roster Nick Saban left behind.

Come gather 'round bammers
Wherever you roam
And admit that the teams all
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be melting alone
If your mind to you is worth savin'
And you better start copin'
Because Saban is gone
For the times they are a-changin'

Proof that "down years" for some programs are not the same as other programs. I consider this a down year for Bama, we need immediate upgrades in the trenches with a new oline coach, special teams needs addressing in the offseason. Take care of the oline and the run game will improve. I HATE not having a running game worth a damn.

A list that includes commits that weren't even on roster? Yikes. Hard to be considered roster turnover when you aren't, you know, on the roster.

Also, no reason to have him on there. Kid came right back after stealing 100k from Iowa.

AND the roster was still elite, being mentioned as top 3-5 in the nation.
