So, we're still a much more accomplished BB program than anyone in the SEC other than Kentucky. Florida and Arkansas are pretty even. Gators got the back to back nattys while we lost in our return trip.
I feel the same way about Tennessee in FB. The vols are historically the 2nd best team in the SEC. Once you weather this down period you will be elite again. I have no doubt that Arkansas will eventually be back to an elite BB program.

I don't speak for all Hog fans, but I'm very happy with Anderson. I think by the end of the John Pelphrey era Hog fans realized that we were pretty far removed from the 90s glory days, and the next coach was going to have to be afforded some time to rebuild. It didn't hurt that it was Mike Anderson, who was at Arkansas for longer than many Hog fans have even been alive, so there is definitely a sense of connection with him and the program.
While I'd love to see a few Sweet 16 runs, the tournament is so unpredictable. I think it's reasonable expectations to at least make the tournament every year, and whatever happens in March happens. Consistent wins (>65% or more) is really where I think the realm of success lies.

Before the game I expected a toss up. Wouldn’t have been too upset had Arkansas beaten us by ~10 in BWA.
But when we were clearly the better team for 37 minutes until Prick started trying to bleed clock, then yeah I am going to be redneck

I don’t think making the tourney most years and an occasional run is unreasonable. Every serviceable coach in the modern era at Tennessee has made the Sweet 16 by year 3.
I understand you're pessimistic after today, but, wow, you're showing a complete lack of perspective.

Arkansas shot the ball poorly today, at home. That doesn't happen often. Had we had one of our normal shooting days then we would have pulled away in runs 8-0 and 10-0. It's what we do at home.
All that being said, I would agree that if this game was in Knoxville the Vols win by double digits.

There was a bunch of shite talking before the game. Either fan base was going to rub it in after a win.
