I just read this thread. You did well trying to understand, but one thing you are not considering when discussing these things with a big part of the UT fan base...'The Legion of the Miserable.' They aren't able to see the positives thru their negative tinted glasses. UT fans are the worse when losing closes games to teams that they had no business being in. Ie '10 lsu game in BR.

Three yrs in, and our losses to higher ranked teams do suck. BUT the fact we handled them most the game is a good sign. Just hope Barnes can figure out how to fix the issue going further into the season, and next year.

I actually read this whole thread hoping to learn what Barnes could actually do to change the trend, but got UT fans whining and arky fans boasting about squeaking one out over a team they should have controlled beating by a solid amount. Not surprised but odd.

I know you are the happiest vol fan ever because you love coaching searches, but a single digit lead with 3 minutes to go, on the road, in the SEC is nothing. Blink and it’s gone. But hey keep on running through coaches by all means. You’ll find another cheater eventually.

If smart arses like you would know how to fix it then easier to know when.

I dont know if it's a young team thing, lack of depth, etc. What I'm trying to learn. Not whining from biatch fans like you.

I see year 3, and Barnes has/had UT in the top 25. Media positively talking about UT. Controlling games against higher ranked teams even going into a place like arky doing so. There's on piece to clearly fix which is better than most schools. Arky fans should be more concerned as UT shouldnt have done what they did.

I'm a process guy, and see gaps. Then try to fix them. Simple. Not my problem you arent capable of doing that. I obviously hope it gets figured out come tourny time, but I dont know enough to know if it's a fix for this year or not. If same thing happens next year then I'll start to look at it differently. This year i'll sit back, and enjoy seeing the Vawls doing better than they have in yrs.
