Oregon in Maui last year
UNC in Chapel Hill last year
4 SEC games with a double digit lead under 15:00 left last year that we lost
Villanova this year
UNC this year
Arkansas this year

Pretty alarming pattern.

Hard to take anything positive out of today’s game when we’ve seen it over and over again.

Bone played exceptionally well today, other than that it was a pretty dissapointing performance from my view.

I mean, it's not like Arkansas had beaten UT 6 times in a row or anything....oh wait

Not sure what this has to do with anything. Tennessee has been horrendous over the last 3 years. It was a nice W but a huge missed opportunity for Tennessee.

Good game Vols. Volfan, I hope you enjoyed The Palace.

Just got back. What an atmosphere today.

We have the exact same problems in year 3 as we had in year 1, we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory very regularly

You are an idiot. This is one of the strongest Arkansas teams in years and you guys had "no business losing this one". Know your role. Maybe at your place, but at home, ANYONE playing in Bud Walton is lucky to leave with a win. Barnes is a really good coach for you guys, with the talent ya'll have you shouldn't even be ranked, he's doing a solid job. Do you even watch college basketball?

Are you referring to me as a bad fan? For defending my team from an insult?

Know our role? We were up 8 with 3 minutes left and melted down. That is supposed to be okay?

This talent thing is total horeshit. Every player on the roster signed with Barnes so it’s his team. Not sure why he should be praised for “overachieving”. I think the roster is missing a wing who can get his own shot but other than that the roster is pretty damn solid.

I don’t think you can see Tennessee was really outmanned out there today from top to bottom. Arkansas has some older guards who are very good and Gafford is a great player but I think Tenneesee is pretty similar 1-9 if not a little better when you get to the bench. Would you guys disagree?

Tennessee has some of the most unrealistic expectations for their basketball team

Y'all need to move on from the Bruce Pearl era and be thankful for what you've got. It could be a lot worse for you.

Not pining for Pearl but surely you can see that everything I’ve posted itt is a valid concern.

This is becoming a very disturbing pattern. Barnes is not on the hot seat in reality but it will be put up or shut up time with him over the next couple months considering most of this roster has 2-3 more years together.

They also closed out Purdue in OT, NC State, and Wake on the road.

Using last year isn't fair. That team was mostly freshmen and had no depth.

Tennessee will be fine. If this "pattern" continues in SEC play you'll have a reason to complain but this is just melting over a tough loss.

Melting over December basketball shouldn't be allowed.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh. I would be melting too if my team fell apart with a few minutes left in the game, but if you step back and think about it:

They were playing in a very tough road venue.
They were playing a team designed to exhaust your players.
Key people fouled out.

You guys have a great team and will be in position to make a run come March, basketball isn't football, a single loss early in the season doesn't mean a lot, especially against a team with a high RPI. Enjoy the season, you guys should do well.

It is strictly an opportunity game for Tennessee. A win would be a very solid resume builder. A loss is dissapointing but doesn’t do any damage. It is probably one of the 2-3 toughest games on our league schedule.

I’m excited but Arkansas has a lot more to lose in this game, just as Tennessee would if the game was being played at TBA.

The manner in which we lost has me as mad as I’ve been in a long time. I was expecting a 10-15 point loss.

Going to the game probably made me even more angry.

I am legitimately concerned about this team though. I have no confidence in our ability to close games out. I think we’re a little above average but with our inability to close games out against comprible opponents it’s hard to have any belief in the team.

I think we will lose double digit SEC games. We will lose the big ones at home and fail to close out most of the middling SEC teams on the road imo.

I don't see why Tennessee fans are melting over Rick Barnes. He's not a bad coach. He had a tough loss today on the road against a good team.

This is just a crazy take. Arkansas isn't a middling SEC team. They're probably a Top 4 team. Most SEC road games will be more like the Wake game than this game.
