Just leaving BWA.

Villanova, UNC and Arkansas have all been gifted wins by this senile old frick due to to his inability to hold massive second half leads.

In year 3 and Retirement Rick’s teams are still folding like a tent down the stretch.

Anything less than 2-0 against AU and UK and you have to question the coaching job imo.

Your expectations as a Vols fan need to be tempered down a bit. You guys aren’t a perennial power or anything. Barnes fits at Tennessee.

But Rick Barnes is a way better coach than MA...

Tennessee has a legit Top 25 team with 2 and 3* star talent and you're melting? Not a good look

Today’s game and the UNC game were games we had no business losing. I will give him a pass for the Novs meltdown.

I understand BWA is a tough place to play but this Arkansas team is nothing to write home about. No excuses for blowing an 8 point lead in final 3.

To be fair, y’all had no business in any of those games ( from a talent standpoint). Y’all have been a pleasant surprise this year, and that’s due to your coach. Besides, who else will you get?

This is a tired story. We have blown 2nd half leads over and over against quality opponents the last 2 years. Outside of the Purdue win this year we have not closed the deal in any of them.

He is responsible for his own talent.

The game today was an unacceptable result any way you look at it.

Barford and Macon are both all-SEC guards and both took over at the end. Williams fouled out on a BS call. shite happens.

Arkansas may be "nothing to write home about" but this was UT's second hardest conference game according to Sagarin (easier than only UK at Rupp). UT will be fine and will probably get a Top 5 seed.

Watch any coach long enough and you'll see your share of collapses. Donovan's teams had a reputation for blowing late leads until suddenly they didn't. Running off Barnes would be incredibly stupid. He's a flawed coach but every coach is flawed.

No excuse to lead 38 minutes in both this game and the UNC game only to fall apart.

Barnes has the program in good position to at least replicate Pearl's run

Lol we are nowhere close to where Pearl was able to take us, take away his couple victories over UK and Prick is still searching for a sig win. Bruce was slapping the frick out of Memphis under Calipari, Kentucky, Florida the two years they won the title, Oklahoma State, Kansas, etc.

Gafford and Macon are very good but they didn’t get much from anybody else. A day like today when the rest of the guys aren’t helping is a day you should beat them.

At some point blowing all these leads becomes a big problem. Not saying Arkansas is bad but this is a game Tennessee had no business losing.

You forgot barford.

At one point, Arkansas was shooting 44% from the free throw line.

Tenn should have won by a dozen by the way Arkansas was playing.

Yeah, Barford's quiet 28 points was "not much"

Pearl's signature wins resulted in one Elite Eight run. Otherwise it was early exits.

UT should make the tourney the next three years. Beyond that who knows but Barnes has the program in a very stable position. Melting over a loss on the road to a Top 25 team is silly. Three losses doesn't necessarily indicate a pattern. Need a bigger sample in basketball.

Only a top 25 team with the best back court in the SEC and one of the best freshman big men in the country. But ya, obviously shoulda been an easy win for UT. I mean, it's not like Arkansas had beaten UT 6 times in a row or anything....oh wait
