I heard one of Bama's building science professors telling another that he was embarrassed that he taught there. I don't know anything about the program, but I know what I heard.

Meh. I literally saw an Auburn professor taking it in the arse from a goat.

I can't name anybody from Bama that has made a truly significant contribution to their field.

You could start with Bama QBs winning 4 superbowls.

All kidding aside, Auburn has a lot of prominent alums. Nothing but respect here.

P.S. Why do some Auburn people feel the need to immediately shoot down the notion that Alabama actually has alums that have contributed to society or shoot down a high ranking of an Alabama program? I'll never forget reading a board a few years ago where an Auburn fan was pissed over the fact that someone pointed out that Alabama's accounting program was highly ranked. Why do SOME Auburn people take the academic arguments so seriously? It isn't like Alabama, Auburn, or just about any SEC school is that much different from each other. It's pretty much Vandy with Florida and A&M a notch below with UGA a slight notch below and then a few steps down to all the mid tier schools in the conference. In other words, a lot of Auburn fans take themselves way too seriously with the academic arguments.

A Bama fan's insecurities turns into a debate about undergrad degrees? This is an incredibly interdasting thread.

Insecurity? I'd describe the OP as a tame troll attempt. Linking a provocative, yet meaningless article isn't insecurity. It's an obvious attempt to elicit responses.

I think it has something to do with your sidewalk alumni. They look down at Auburn Grads, when most of them barely have a GED. There are people in Alabama who want Auburn and UA to fail as Universities because of the Athletic Programs. I have lived all over this country and I do not think there is another State like Alabama.

One of my teachers back in high school was like that. Didn't matter what you brought up, Auburn's was better than Bama. Everything. I'm pretty sure he would have been convinced that 1012 Auburn team was really better than Alabama that year.
