I know absolutely zero about the situation other than the big headline from the OP.
I would first want to see if these $40K real estate classes actually do provide any actual returns or do what they say they will, or if it's 100% all a scam.

I don't think Tebow intended to do anything wrong here. He was probably one of many speakers who took a gig without properly vetting the organization that was paying him.

There is a push right now to punish celebrities who get involved with groups they haven't fully vetted. And they definitely should be if it's found they're culpable in some way.
If it's found he knew about it and still did it, he's just as guilty.
If he didn't fully vet it, then he should still be found somewhat culpable.

Just read the article and nowhere does it say Tim Tebow is under investigation or that he is benefiting from a scan outside of he got paid to make a speech. It would appear as if you are benefiting by getting attention from this scam.

I don’t believe for one second Tebow was knowingly scamming people, he’s a genuinely good guy

Love Tim, he probably didn't know Life Surge was this corrupt, but he needs to resign from this scammer company. Scamming people because of their faith is wrong on many levels.

The headline on this thread is incorrect and not the headline on the article.
The article from the link is also misleading.
Here is the article headline:
Tim Tebow-fronted Christian Life Surge events called ‘scam,’ under fire by Pablo Torre
The article pretty much says that he fronts the event by speaking at it with a faith based message. Then, after all the speakers people are invited to attend another session for $97, and if they attend that, they can take a course for between $10,000-$40,000.
Tebow should have vetted the organization better, but it appears as if he was the main speaker and that ws the extent of his involvement. Nowhere in the article did it say Tim Tebow was personally uder investigation...and the so-called investigation is by Mother Jones...not the police.

They're not really running a scam per se. They just use these high profile Christian celebrity speakers to sell their investment courses. Not illegal just kinda scummy.
