Doesn't it just make you want you to hug all your treez in your yard. I know I do. I kissed them all good night last night. Told them I wouldn't let big bad Harvey get them. I tucked them in with some fresh top soil right up to their trunks.

For all of you wanting to know how the money will be used, Auburn's Office of Communication and Marketing released this statement.
LINK
quote:
Toomer's Trees and Traditions Fund - Thank you for your generosity and help. Your gift will enable Auburn University to do whatever it takes to save, replace, or find an alternative for the Toomer's Oaks to help continue our celebrations and traditions, and protect not just the gateway to our campus, and all of Samford Park long into the future. If efforts to save the trees are successful, helping them continue to survive and protecting them will be essential. If they need to be removed -- and it will be some time before we know what our options are -- finding replacements in the form of new trees, architecture, or other beautification options can all be made possible through this fund. Landscaping, maintenance, preservation, healthy vegetation, and beauty enhancement will be the goals of the fund, and allow the university the flexibility to apply monies to any solution and preserve our park and Toomer's Corner well into the future. War Eagle!

Moral victory that Bama fans will pay for the new trees and more.
Question is, whose moral victory is it?

i'm all about the fans chipping in a few dollars to show their lack of support for Al from Dadeville... but i tend to fully agree with this post here. people are constantly posting "i'm praying to the Lord Jesus Christ that He'll save the trees."
i never knew Tuscaloosa and Lee county had so many tree hugging bitches.
come on people! let's stop acting like two kids got their faces torn off by someone and had to watch the guy eat their faces in front of them only before disemboweling them and killing them slowly.

if he wasnt a rented out whore he might do that. Im surprised they dont have any former sports stars throwing up cash to help out their beloved alma.

it pisses me off. there's a charity i know of (see my sig quote) and the amount of "Likes" that facebook account has gotten is pretty bad by comparison.
yeah, some trees got 40k+ subscribers in a day. twopinkribbons has up to 82 subscribers.... and it's for local cancer relief funding.
