Do you know how many 8 and 9 win seasons Mississippi State has managed in their entire history? 14. 14 in 124 years of football.
And now, that’s gonna be the average?
Riiiight.

I ca see 9-10 win seasons & bowl appearance on a regular basis
Bowl appearances for sure. 9-10 win seasons would well outside of the norm for both Leach and State though.

I think he is somewhere on the autism spectrum. He has a brilliant mind but he doesn't seem to have a lot common sense in social settings. Maybe he has ADD. I think he needs medicine.

I think Leach Will do well at State. He will win consistently, but to think he’ll win more than Mullen is asinine. The competition Within the division is much, much too fierce.

Just because he doesn't want to kiss someone's arse and doesn't want to lose his individuality does not make him autistic.

It will be difficult to top what Mullen did at State on a consistent basis, but I think he can do something similar. Granted, Mullen only won more than 8 games in the regular season once at State. If Leach consistently stays in the 6 to 8 win range with a 9 or 10 win season every 3-5 years, he will have job security until he's ready to retire.

Auburn had a chance to hire him several years ago. I’m glad they didn’t.
Me too

He is not in the Pac 10 or Big 12 anymore. SEC defenses will be ready for him.
That statement makes no sense. Isn’t Miss St. in the SEC along with its O and D ? He didn’t bring his Wash St O with him.

During his time at Texas Tech and Washington State, he has played five games against SEC teams, going 2-3 against them. He defeated Ole Miss twice (one at home 42-28 and one on the road 49-45), lost to them once (47-34) and lost to Alabama (13-10) and Auburn (31-24). Of his three losses, one was a three point loss to No. 8 Alabama in the 2006 Cotton Bowl, another was a seven point loss to No. 2 Auburn on the road and the third one was a 13 point loss to 14th ranked Ole Miss in the 2009 Cotton Bowl. Although they weren't in the SEC at the time, he also played Texas A&M and Missouri a combined seven times, going 8-6 against them.

My Aggie best friend said one word when I said MSU hired him:
“frick”

Isn’t that an oxymoron?

Maybe it's your AD for hiring him?

I think he's finally gonna take care of that single, lonely toilet in the middle of the visitor's locker room at State.

Curious what everyone thinks about the Mike Leach hire.
Won't win anything of note but makes the conference much more entertaining. It'll be interesting to see if he can stay out of the SJW's crosshairs.
