Deep in their hearts, Bama fans like Flea Market Bill and HSV don't even want to ponder this question. It strikes fear in their hearts at what the future holds.

They didn't stop after they got 24 against UT. What was the difference?

Auburn has backups capable of playing at an SEC level.

Alabama had a good offense in 2009 and the best defense.

2010 Auburn has a great offense and a bad defense.

That D would have contained the Auburn offense, yet put up enough points for a 10 point win.

Agree with you there, but I didn't see a Bama fan say that we did. I do however think that it is stupid to think this years AU team would destroy last years UA team. If AU only won by 1 point against a UA team that is not as good as last year how would they destroy a team that is better?
Forget the points we left on the field. The difference would be our defensive backfield which really cost us the game. Cam would have still had a good game, but he would not have carved up last years defense the way he did this year.

They'd both destroy both of LSU's national championship teams, especially the "national championship" team from '07. Can you believe a team that gave up 50 points in a loss to Arkansas in the regular season finale won a national championship? How embarrassing. I find it funny that LSU fans brag about that title at all.

bad defense.

ask Mark Ingram how 'bad' that defense is... two years he's been shut down.

Auburn's defense matches up well with Alabama's offense... on a neutral field I think we'd hold them to 20 points or so... the question is could AU's 2010 offense score in the mid to high 20s? It'd be tough.

I'd say Bama wins 31-17.

destroy? no. Except for Fairley, there is not much to the D of Aubie

eek out a win based on the unstoppable run game in the 4th qtr.
Ok.

I agree. Bama would have lost to Texas last year had McCoy played.

Alabama 2009 wasn't a one man team.

While Auburn's O had one or two surefire NFL talents on it, the Bama D easily had 4 or 5 + an experienced secondary, and thats not counting the heisman winner and the other 2 on the other side.

And we were dominate at the LoS all phases of the game all year.

True. They were a team with only a defense.
