I don't even think it would be close. Discuss. And keep it civil. It's just football after all.

I don't know about destroy but I do think Aub would win. Neutral field, TT or The Plains, I'd say Aub wins by 10.

The reason I say that is because this years Aub team puts so much pressure on you to keep up with them and I don't think Bama 2009 could do it, they weren't built that way. JMHO tho

Maybe destroy is too strong a word. Auburn by two touchdowns.

I agree, AU would win, but it would be close. We spotted bama 24 in ttwon this year, then just kicked the shite out of them the rest of the game however we wanted. On a neutral field, we do not spot them 24 and beat them badly this year.

Last year's bama's D was better, but not statistically a whole lot better. This year, bama's O is better. This year's AU team is a WHOLE lot better than last year.

List of the BCS era national champions that Auburn is better than, IMO:

1. 2002 Buckeyes (although they would get killed against the Miami team that OSU beat)
2. 2007 Tigers (although LSU never really seemed to be at full strength. I'd probably take them if they were)

Bama didn't destroy Auburn last year either, Einstein.

It's asinine to argue over a hypothetical game. COULD 2010 AU beat 2009 Bama? Yes. Hell, 2009 UT almost did it. Could 2009 Bama beat 2010 Auburn? Yes. A couple of teams came very close in 2010.

Last year's Bama team didn't destroy last year's Auburn team.

Two words:

Home field.

Last year, in AU, AU got 14 points before bama started playing.

This year, Bama got 24 before AU started playing.

Neutral field, 2010 AU by 10.
