I like how Texans pretend they know all the secrets to BBQ that no one else knows. Lol no.

I'm not going to say that Brisket sucks or anything. Its good. But beef isn't real BBQ. And when it comes to real BBQ with pork like God and nature intended, Texas isn't very good at it.

But tbh, I actually still agree with the premise of OP to an extent. I'm not rating the whole SEC and this is more of a "guide" than a prediction, but:
-Auburn and Alabama will be at the top, just like white BBQ sauce and Alabama BBQ.
-Georgia is once again trailing the state of Alabama.
-Mizzou is being highly overrated by their own fanbase even though the entire outside world can see they're nothing but average, just like Kansas City and Missouri BBQ.
-Once Upon a Time, Tennessee football was something special, a powerhouse, one of the elite, and they were known nationally for their quality. But they fell off a long time ago, they're no longer even a shadow of their former selves they are laughing stocks. Just like Memphis BBQ.
-South Carolina athletics are a mirror image of literally any kind of BBQ sauce to originate anywhere in the Carolina's, whether it's puke looking mustard based sauce, or like puke tasting vinegar based sauce, its all just an abomination that only somebody who grew up with it forced on them could acquire a taste for.
-14. Texas A&M. Dead last in the SEC. Because just like Texas briskets and their "BBQ" of beef, the Aggies are pretenders. Their fans are too stupid to see it though and think they're putting out the same product as the blue bloods. And just looking at them by themselves you might even be fooled into thinking they're the real deal because on the surface, they usually look pretty good. But once they're faced off against each other and you can make a side by side comparison, you can easily tell how much the Texas product is pure trash

You're right, Texas does do steak great.

But this is a BBQ thread. Steak sure af ain't BBQ, and BBQ don't come from cows at all. BBQ comes from pigs.

I see that close mindedness is not just for who you go to school with in Alabama.

BBQ is utilizing heat, spice and time properly to make all of God's creatures taste great.

Texas "bbq" is steak with barbecue sauce on it. The pig is the gig. BBQ = Pork

If A&M is going to win the conference win Texans learn how to cook BBQ ( or anything for that) Aggie fans are going to be waiting a LONG time......Texas BBQ is UNEDIBLE.....burnt beef brisket slathered in ketchup and beans.....it ain't even close to BBQ which is pork, period. If it ain't pig it ain't BBQ.....

They also can't cook a steak in Texas....again, burnt to a crisp tough as shoe leather...

And finally there ain't any Mexican food fitting to eat in Texas.....Even Georgia has better Mexican food than all of Texas

Texas BBQ + TexMex + Gulf Seafood + Cattle/Beef culture + Houston being a true melting pot best food. Not even close.

There are gas stations in Louisiana that serve better seafood than the finest seafood restaurant in Texas.....

And Mexican food in Texas is HORRIBLE....almost as bad as steaks and BBQ in Texas.

New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and California are so far ahead of Texas Mexican cuisine it ain't even close......

If you like steak burnt like a charcoal briquet with nothing for flavor other than carbon then Texas is your place for steak.....but if that ain't your cup of tea you won't find an edible steak in Texas

I'm smoking 160 pounds of pork as we speak....I'm in New Mexico....Piles of Texans working here at the moment.....they will chow down on some Georgia style pulled Pork with a vinegar based sauce Saturday night, literally swill some Brunswick stew and will proclaim it to be the best BBQ they ever ate....and it ain't even close to the best in Atlanta, let alone Georgia......The poor bastards have never eaten proper BBQ in their lives.....but they will tomorrow!

That’s funny. I had company from NC, SC, GA. We went out for some good Texas bbq. All of them said brisket trashes the que they normally eat. They didn’t believe me when i said they wouldn’t need sauce. They only sampled the sauce but all agreed it was not needed at all.
