That number will not put them under the 53 scholarship threshold put in place by the SEC. Technically they can still play unless Florida just doesn't want to.

Jimbo Fisher on the SEC Teleconference regarding any current COVID-19 concerns at A&M: "We've tested twice, and we've been completely clean.”

Was wondering when we would get hit. Was only a matter of time.

I mean 40 out due to contact tracing would very likely put us below 53.

The idea is they didn’t go to bars as they were thinking national title, but after the loss, they don’t care anymore, so they went bar hopping.

16 positives .

Contact tracing will impact upwards of 40.

And that’s just syphilis. Covid is expected to be worse.

Bigger issue is what happens at A&M... if no one there tests positive then the idea you can catch it in a football game becomes less of a concern.

Weren't there rumors that pictures were out there of Florida players at bars after y'alls game?

It will be interesting to see how the SEC handles this. As far as I know "just not wanting to play" is not a good enough reason to not play.

aren't there also minimum thresholds for available players at certain position groups as well? For instance, if an entire OL got sick or only 1 QB was available, I think that puts a team below where they have to be.

Yeh, if they do that they will never come close to playing the season

Regardless of what any team wants to do, it needs to come down to purely the numbers set forth

Certainly looks like it based on your covid problems.

How can they not. Was there even any doubt Florida would be first

I would request the florida football program be tested for chlamydia and yeast infections.
