I wouldn’t say last but definitely best. If LSU keeps spending $50 million the roster will only get better. Could be a drop off when Baker moves on but I definitely expect Lane to have a much better team by year 3

this year has a very Joe Moorhead feel for OM. Mullen left Moorhead a top 10 talent team in 2018, and he limped to a 8-4 record. Had Jeff Simmons (Titans), Montez Sweat (Redskins), Jaden Crumedy (Texans), Erroll Thompson (Falcons), Jonathan Abram (Raiders), Cam Danzler (Vikings), Gerri Green (Bears), Willie Gay (Chiefs), and Nathaniel Watson (Browns) on that defense

There is at least as much history that shows his programs end in a burning dumpster fire versus getting better and his history leading what most would consider major programs is just not good. There is ample evidence that he is unable to handle the pressure of a top tier program.
