Lane was kind enough to leave enough talent at Ole Miss, including a top QB and RB, for the Rebs to be pretty good for a year.

After this season, it's all downhill.

Lane is also in his first year at LSU, history shows his programs get better and better. Add to that the '27 game being in Death Valley.

I can see why Ole Miss fans are calling it their biggest game in program history.

I wouldn't be surprised with how quick LSU fires their coaches. Seems like every other year with you guys recently. May be our only chance to play him.

At least our biggest game was a bowl and not a game taking place during the 3rd week of a season....

Thought it was because he’ll jump back to the NFL if he does good this year.

We already did when he was the HC at Tennessee and twice when he was the OC at Bama.

Lane is 0-1 against Ole Miss as a head coach and 1-3 all time

The goal posts have moved pretty far from that Clemson postgame!

That $50m roster not good enough year one?

Huh? You mean at the directional school he spent 2 seasons at or Ole Miss that improved but never had a dang thang to show for it? At the 2 major power schools he coached he face-planted.

Big game yes
Biggest game in school history of course not
This seems to be many of lsu posters talking point that OM will inevitably just fall off the map after this season. Nobody at Ole Miss believes that, this is one game and it’s not a make or break game for this program. Just an exciting football game between two good teams. Hope everyone has a safe weekend
