Given that, the guy has a nonchalant attitude, and at times seems afraid to run.

I think that's just him not being rattled. He's pretty tuned in.

Now I do wish he'd take off more, especially with the play calling he's dealing with right now.

If Bill OBrien just had a good quarterback that could grasp his offensive genius, Bama would be unstoppable. Instead we have Bryce Young holding Obrien back.

If only he hadn't been saddled with deshaun Watson in the NFL, he would still be coaching the Texans.

Bama's big transfer receiver was losing snaps last season to a freshman 2 star at Georgia and may have seen the writing on the wall.

Not entirely. Burton was good. Really good. He just tended to get nicked up a bit and miss time. He was actually my favorite receiver. He just couldn't stay healthy.

If he stays healthy he will be a great weapon for Alabama.

I mean that's basically all their passing offense is. Flats left and right and slants and occasionally beat you over the top with a Jameson Williams/Ruggs but this year's WRs aren't fast and can't catch

There were 2-3 times he should have this past Saturday, receivers just dropped the balls, plain and simple..

I agree, everyone calm down.
As a UGA fan, I don’t think they played like the #1 team this past Saturday, offensively they were great until they got to the 15.. Defense played good, but a decent team could’ve exposed a few things they did.

Bama’s offense has been check down Charlie for years. It’s been successful because they have vastly better athletes than everyone else at every single position.

He is healthy now and isn’t a great weapon yet. I am sure bama is saving it all for uga yet again though.

It's actually not shocking at all - certainly throughout the years Bama has had some great QBs who have thrown the ball down field - but Bama kills their opponents with the 5-10 yard underneath crossing routes -

All you gotta do is watch Burton's film from last year. He's no "possession" receiver

Mcconkey is much slippery than Burton.
We would throw Burton these screens and he would just lower his head and plow.
McConkey is significantly better after the catch.

Burton is better off the line (stronger) than McConkey. They both can create separation on their routes.
Burton is slightly more explosive to the ball. But McConkey is faster.

We really didn't lose much with Burton leaving.
I do think Burton could fill in to the X better with AD Mitchell's injury. No
Burton isn't a true #1 target. A double team can eliminate him. But he can win one on one's.

Watson was the only thing that kept him employed long enough to trade two #1's,two #2's, DeAndre Hopkins for Laremy Tunsil and a box of coaching shorts and salt tablets.

Saban better lock his office. BOB wont hesitate to pick up that phone and trade Orange Beach and the rights to Gulf Shores to Louisiana for Grande Isle and a gulf hurricane to be named later.

He us just another overrated soft Bama QB surrounded by 5 stars to make him look better than he is. Nothing to see here.

Burton was getting outsnapped by Ladd McConkey by the end of last season and Burton knew that this year wouldn't have been any better.

Put some blame on the receivers and some more on BO'B but the O-Line is not protecting well enough to allow for deep route to develop. Young is running for his life back there.
