Frac the world

You make fun here frackie with your James Carey gif, but it doesn't make clear where it's measured from. Is it measured in the same way we measure rushing yards, passing yards, etc, from the LOS to the yardage marker where the catch is made.

Is it measured from where the QB is standing to where the WR catches it on the field. Does it include 9 plus yards on a catch in the back of the EZ?

While the stat likely is true in that BY is far behind the other SEC QBs in that department and was near the top last year, it may not be exactly true. The TD pass to Gibbs the LOS is at the 7, he's well behind it at about the 16. Gibbs is at least 7, possibly 8 yards deep in the EZ.

Is that a 7-yard air yard pass?

A 15-yard air yard pass?

Or a 24-yard air yard pass?

Based on what Rodgers says, looks like it starts with the LOS and they don't get credit for anything past the goal line.

This honestly will be part of their issues this year. I'll also say that I haven't been extremely impressed with Gibbs this year either.

It is a simple measurement of yards from the LOS to the yard marker where the target was when the ball arrived.

With that being said, I'm unsure if yards in the end zone are counted.

Here is Young's passing chart from 2022 for illustration:

Young comes off as very lackadaisical and really slow.

I think the college game has really caught up to him.

What? You saw how we won the game right? He seems to be the only one not slow and lackadaisical.

I like Bama, they're now actually my first team.

Given that, the guy has a nonchalant attitude, and at times seems afraid to run.

If Bill OBrien just had a good quarterback that could grasp his offensive genius, Bama would be unstoppable. Instead we have Bryce Young holding Obrien back.

Exactly. It is used to address a QB throwing a screen pass that the RB houses and getting credit for a "81 yard touchdown pass". I'm 99% sure depth of the end zone is not accounted for in the stat.

Holden, Brooks and Burton are the guys who I have yet to see create separation. With that group you basically have 3 possession guys which is not at all ideal.

The problem is their perimeter or outside receivers are all possession type receivers. The so called "speed" guys they have are all slot receivers.

Bama's big transfer receiver was losing snaps last season to a freshman 2 star at Georgia and may have seen the writing on the wall.

Burton is a 3 or 4 WR. He's not a 1 or even 2 option.

Burton is usually very good at separation off of the line.

He isn't a "burner" so CBs can recover.

He does have plus "late separation" (explosion to the ball). But his hands aren't plus.

He can easily be a 2.

Defenses aren't doubleteaming 2 receiving targets.
