I know it's not a huge increase but surely at some point you just need to do away w/conference tournaments. The conference tournament doesn't decide the regular season champ and if a champ can't be decided through the SEC's tie breaking debacle... then have a one game winner takes home the title.
But we all know that money drives it all so they keep growing the NCAA tournament until teams with 4 and 5 wins get a shot. Yep, WW and LSU will get their chance!!

It's stupid and nothing more than a money grab. The last few years were already chalk enough. This will further erode what made Madness fun.

I've just accepted, when it comes to college sports, to not try to think too much about the changes being made.
I disagree with almost every decision made in college sports nowadays, just feels like a massive money grab. But I'm just trying to focus on my individual teams and not the depressing state of the NCAA.
It sucks, though.

It’s a money grab and nothing more. While expanding mens tournament is pointless..,
The increase in teams for women is substantially worse. Right now they start off with only 3 or 4 teams with a legit shot to win their tournament. Most years it is 1 or 2. Adding more teams just means more 80-30 games. Pathetic.

64 is the perfect number I even hate the 4 play-in games and yes I realize Texas would have missed the tournament without them.
Villanova winning in 1985 as the #8 seed ain't walking through the door anytime soon but making it 64 makes it perfect symmetry you have to win 6 games in 3 weekends and it lets the small guys be a part of the energy.

Well this let's them get rid of more than 2 undeserving auto bid teams. Frankly seed all 76 and make the bottom 24 play each other. Doing it half auto bids and half at-large teams is stupid.
