Some are stuck on this talking point but it was true both times. Just because BK didn't work out doesn't make it less true.

There were a lot of folks who were worried that BK would actually win at LSU, and it's happening even moreso now with Kiffin because people have seen him succeed in this conference.

I mean I’m not about to disagree that we are like Bama and Ohio ST. But LSU is ahead of Florida in all time winning percentage, national championships, double the conference championships, bowl games, wins all time, bowl game percentage, all Americans, draft picks, and weeks ranked in AP.

Florida is ahead in only two categories: first round picks and weeks at number 1.

So no. It really isn’t that close.

This right here is why people are trolling LSU fans. A new coaching staff with a huge roster in turnover CAN be successful, but it isn’t the norm. What LK is currently doing isn’t close to following what Cignetti did at IU. That team was built on older already developed 3 stars and finding undervalued guys. It’s kind of crazy to see the overspending on with LK. Look back over the last couple of years at how the #1 portal team did the following season.

I’ll go on record as saying that I think LK can be successful at LSU; I don’t think it is 100% guaranteed, but it seems very likely. However, banking on a playoff appearance in S1 is going to take some major luck. UTx, UGA, A&M, Bama and OU are all coming off playoff appearances. Kiff has also dropped a few head scratchers, like UK in 2024. 2027 seems more reasonable as far as expectations go to hope for a big jump.
