Vol fans here have said Tennessee is a blue blood and has one of the best collectives in the country.
It is but no one has Texas resources. Did you wake up extra stupid this morning?

By how much? Is it enough to account for Heupel's starting QB bailing right before the season?
If we're making excuses for coaches, then BK's quarterback was injured his entire final year.

What is the gap between the two?

Think of the melting Vols, though.
Remember when Immagonnaleaveya left 'em?

Are you seriously trying to dispute that Texas doesn't have the most resources in the country by a wide margin? Why have you picked something so stupid to argue this time. Texas resources dwarf every school in the country, and this isnt even a new thing

I was just asking what the gap is.

Literally what is your point then. Everyone knows Texas has more money than Tennessee. Why are you even in this thread? All any Tennessee fan has said is that he is a good coach amd thats it. Go annoy someone else
The point of this thread was talk about Heupel and OU yet somehow you are in here talking about BK and questioning the gap between Tennessee and Texas NIL when its common knowledge Texas has more. Your autism is miserable for everyone around here

Honestly I think he's done very well, how many SEC teams would love this kind of record: Tennessee: 51–22 27–18
Every SEC except maybe 3 would crawl on glass for this record the last 5 years

Heupel is objectively a good coach and definitely top 5 in this conference

Put Steve Sarkisian at any school in this conference not named Texas, and he would've been fired by now
You lost me there as FL, MSU, SC, Mizzou, UK, Arky, LSU, and AU would have loved being in the CFB and the SECCG compared to their last four year stretch.

The DC hire has been amazing. If we weren't stuck with 2 freshman QBs there'd be outrageous buzz rn.
I like he told Nico to kick rocks after the Spring Practice hold out.
The QB development at UCF was amazing (from a Passer rating of 113 in that QB's year 1 to 179 and 161 in years 2 and 3). Dillon Gabriel had Passer ratings of 156 both full seasons at UCF (true freshman and sophomore). Hooker won SEC OPOTY his 2nd year in Heupel's system.
Milton didn't really develop, but Huepel did shift his offensive philosophy to run heavy. They led the conference in Rushing YPG in Milton's last year.
Then you had the Nico shitshow.
There are only three coaches in UTK history that have won 10+ games in multiple seasons. You shouldn't have to guess who the obvious two are but the 3rd is Huepel.
And we don't need to rehash the dumpster fire that was UTK when he showed up. At first, I thought it was a lazy hire by AD White, but it was been a great hire.

Yeah I think every team not named UGA or Bama would love to have what Sark has done at Texas. My point is that I dont think Sark is a good enough coach to replicate that anywhere that isnt Texas. He enjoys a massive resource advantage at Texas and thats why he has been successful. Put Heupel, Kiffin, Deboer, or even Drink at Texas with those same exact advantages and I think they do more
Put Sark at Auburn or Florida and I think he would probably not even have a 10 win season

I'm not sure it's a definite that Heupel is a top 5 coach, maybe. Was just thinking out loud.

The Ole Miss poster brought up BK. You brought up the gap between Tennessee and Texas NIL.

That I’ll agree with to a certain extent. He never had 10 win seasons at WA or USC. Perhaps he learned enough from Saban to get over that hump, but I don’t think he’s a championship HC.

Ain't happening. Anybody that thinks this hasn't done their research. I personally think he was like Arbuckle, a little to green and in over his head when brought in to be OC but, the relationship never recovered. If we're just talking SEC coaches to replace BV, my money would be on Beamer, he always talks fondly of OU and Norman in general
