Their record at the end of the year always sucks, but they always beat someone they aren't supposed to.

They beat the hell out of Florida last year.

They beat Tennessee three years in a row- 2016,17,18.

Fun fact- Vandy has beaten Georgia more recently than Tennessee has.

No Vandy game is a snoozer in my opinion.

Went back and looked at some of our games for reference, and noted in 2001 — Coach Fran's first season — Alabama won 12-9 on a FG with five minutes to play. Tyler Watts was 10–17 for 128 yards.

What a shite-fest that was.

YouTube Highlights

Alabama would go on to finish 7–5.

Beat Florida last year AND Kentucky on the road. Almost beat Mizzou on the road, which would have made them bowl eligible.

Lea has the program moving in the right direction and the team is improving.

The way people talk on this board, though, you would think that they were 1-11 last year and getting blown out in every SEC game.

There's really not much of a difference in Vanderbilt's program compared to a Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, or Mississippi State.

Think they get to a bowl by beating Mizzou, Auburn & one of OM/KY this year.

I actually thought the years they had Kyle Shurmur as QB they were pretty good. They lost a close game to Baylor in a bowl. Ke'Shawn Vaughn was fricking the bears up that game but they came up short.

The Swann kid’s intriguing. He was a 4*/Elite 11/UAAA coming out of HS. Had some injuries his freshman year, but when healthy last year he made plays.

Since 2006 Vandy has a better winning percentage against Georgia than Auburn does.

Always a few steps behind. Making a lot of progress investments in infrastructure, NIL, salary, recruiting, etc but just have SO much catching up.

Since the invention of college football, Georgia only beats Auburn 2.8% more frequently than Vanderbilt beats Auburn.

Weird fact I know being married to a Vandy alum…they’re 21-21-1 all time vs Auburn and have won 2 of the last 3.

Anyone else remember when GameDay went to Vanderbilt for a top 20 matchup between Vandy and Auburn?

Fun fact-

Vandy has more losses to Tennessee than UGA has wins against Tennessee.

Lost to Vandy October 15, 2016
Lost to UT October 10th, 2015, and October 1st 2016.

Just took UT hiring Lane Kiffin, Butch Jones, Derek Dooley, and Pruitt for UGA to even catch UT in all time wins. UGA is thankful UT was down for last 17 years, or they would still be behind UT in wins like they are championships.
